Quaint Ditmas Park hangout doubles as a flower shop by day and watering-hole at night.. Sycamore is the third installment from the people behind the Farm on Adderley and Pomme de Terre. Walk through the flower shop, and snag one of the few stools that look out onto Cortelyou Road or head to the back of the bar and relax on one of the cozy horseshoe-shaped couches. In addition to an eclectic beer selection (pints range from $3-$8), Sycamore also stocks more than two dozen different bourbons, and various ryes and Scotches.

Hits: The spring and summer months are ideal times to hit up Sycamore. The backyard garden is draped in ivy and is the perfect spot to sip a cocktail.

Misses: Although Ditmas Park is an up and coming neighborhood with lots of new bars and restaurants springing up, it's a trek to get there. Bring a good book to read on the subway.

Worth a try.. A great local spot, an inviting bar, very close to the Q train, a great tap selection (large enough to warrant a menu), an area in the back with couches and tables, not too packed, not empty, good music, not too expensive, all in all a very pleasant boozing experience.
