Solid tacos, but the indoor seating area is under low light and loud PA speakers blaring mariachi music. I suggest enjoying your tacos on the outdoor patio.

authentic and amazing. i just moved to the neighborhood and i went to this place to try it out. i'm from california and therefore on a never-ending quest to find good (or at least OK and not totally weird) mexican food in new york. this place surpassed my wildest dreams. my burrito was exactly what i expect a real burrito to be like (and $6-7 is an ok price for a bean rice and cheese, i guess). it was just--delicious and what i've spent the past 4 years searching for. i will probably start eating at this place every day from now on.

Not worth the trouble. This place is an authentic Mexican taqueria that used to serve very good food. I've lived in Bushwick for 4 years and have eaten at many places in the neighborhood.

Taqueria Cocoyoc has the most inconsistent quality that I have come across in any restaurant in the area.

They unfortunately have a reactionary style of customer service (perhaps because of Bushwick's recent gentrification). If you order in English you will are likely to get small portions thrown together with very little care. For those new to the neighborhood: beware.

Just go to any one of the Mexican delis nearby or the Taco Hacienda on DeKalb & Wyckoff. They are consistent and you won't you feel like you just made the proverbial "record scratch on the jukebox" as you walk in.
