service was a bit slow food was eh. our order took a terribly long time to arrive. at least it seemed like an hour. when it finally did arrive, it was decent, but not worth the wait. overall i wouldnt recomend this place, but if youre diner hopping late at night, its not awful.

Waist of Money. I went to this restaurant after it was recommended by a friend of mind. I had my reservations about going after I found out that it was a sister restaurant to The Smoke Joint in my nabe, whose food is a poor imatation of southern cooking. Despite my reluctancy, I went against my better instinct and dined at the restaurant. When walking in it has a cool, metro fab vibe going for it. I was enjoying the scenery of the beautiful people and lovely brownstones that surrounded the area. Everything was going well until I got my food. I ordered the catfish with a spicy salsa with grits. It was AWFUL. The catfish was bland and had no taste, the grits appeared asif it was made with cornmeal or something. I don't know how they prepared my food but I was sick all night and ended up regergitating my entire meal at about 3 o'clock in the morning. I will NEVER go there again. I heard they make a good drink, but since I don't drink, they won't be seeing me or my money again.

Mediocre. My fiance and I visited Peaches on Valentine's Day after being highly recommended by a cousin of mine. What a disappointment. The menu was extremely limited due to it being Valentine's day, the portions were small, the food was bland and the seating was a bit tight.

I so badly wanted to like this place because it is minority owned but this place left much to be desired.

Don't go when you are very hungry!. We went to Peaches for a business lunch meeting . We completed the entire meeting before our food was served (at least an hour). Two of the people we were meeting with actually canceled their orders and left before our food came.

The food was tasty but not worth the wait.

A definite place to go. . .. I totally loved this place. The food was excellent, as well as, the service. Love the location of the place too. We don't have many places like this in the area, so Peaches has added a niceness. I had the gumbo and the black risotto with bbq prawns (the special of the day) and I was absolutely pleased and satisfied. My friend had the sampler platter and it was so good too. I would go there again, again and again.

Valentine's Day Massacre. I am a Bed-Stuy resident and I have really tried to support this establishment since it opened. My final try was tonight. Our entrees arrived after an hour of waiting and lack of simple acknowledgment by the aloof wait staff. Our food then arrived cold and we had to wait some more for silverware. After we attempted to remain patient, our server then proceeded to give us the incorrect bill, ask us to sign over someone else's signature, all the while deflecting blame and blatantly lying about what went wrong (he said the kitchen was backed up, but we saw four tables who were seated after us get their food before us). I will never support this establishment and I am saddened that the owner(s) do not believe that Bed-Stuy deserves more.

Editorial Review. A bistro committed to southern food classics like jumbalaya and freid green tomatoes in Stuyvesant Heights.
