Best Place in NYC to get beautiful inside and out!. I have been going to Self + Therapy, for years. I became a fan when "Therapy" was down the street. I go for acupuncture, reiki, massage, facials. Always end up picking up amazing lotions and hand made treasures, from hand picked local designers in the shop up front. Tamika has created another sanctuary with teaming up with "Self", becoming " Self + Therapy". How perfect is that! I also got an amazing haircut at Self+ Therapy. I can't imagine the neighborhood without this amazing place. I always walk out of there feeling grounded, calm, invigorated and inspired!

PURE AWESOMENESS!!!!!. self + therapy is an oasis of calm and serenity... and a great place for a haircut. the massage i had there was one of the best i've EVER had. they also offer zero balancing... and other more progressive bodywork. she has great knitwear: stylish sweaters and hats that i haven't seen anywhere else. i love the unique jewelry i've found there as well. it's a great place to find gifts like candles, teas & organic beauty products, and i never tire of seeing what's new everytime i visit.

Best one stop lounge!. I went to Self+Therapy and had "the works" done. First I will start with my hair, color with Danielle AMAZING! This girl took the time to listen to what I asked for. She did a technique on my hair where she painted the hilites right onto my hair rather than foiling. When I was finished i had a very beautiful jennifer aniston/giselle bundchen look. Next was my haircut with Maria she took the time to go through my hair wet and dry the cut was precise yet edgy at the same time! She gave me an amazing blowout as well! this girl rocks! I have also been there for cranio and massage with Abel. It was the most relaxed i have been in such a long time. Abel talked with me before the service and asked me questions so that he was able to give me a massage customized to my lifestyle and body troubles. The cranio is amazing because unlike other massage type services the work continues days after you have had the service. Honestly i could go on and on more than i have already. But whom ever is looking and considering a visit to an amazing place should check out Self+Therapy!

Great Experience!. I have been to acupuncture at Therapy several times and it is really incredible. Margaret is obviously highly skilled, and she seems to know exactly what to do to address my ailments. I always feel amazing after a session with her! The new space is really comfortable, too. The acupuncture room looks out onto a little garden and there is a skylight that brings in a lovely natural glow. A very easy place to relax and really accept a good treatment in.

There are also several massage rooms that look very peaceful and zen, and I hear the therapists are excellent here and well trained-unlike some spas where you take the chance of getting someone who just graduated from massage school, and doesn't really know what they are doing yet. Ugh. Hate that!

Well, I'm going to try it out this week... But I can say my acupuncture experiences have been perfect here..highly recommend to anyone looking for a body-mind holistic healing approach!
