I went to the salon on July 10, 2008 and arrived about 7:20pm. Asked if it was too late for a mani/pedi/eyebrow waxing, I was told no. The technician servicing me barely looked at me and she did not ask what type of pedicure I wanted. I asked about the callous remover advertised online to be included with "all pedicures" the receptionist told me I must have read it wrong and gave me a brochure. I read the brochure and it said "All pedicures include our Signature Callous Remover Treatment." I showed this to the receptionist she told me that it was a typo and should read that it's included with all "Signature" pedicures, not the basic. Most establishments will give you a product or service at the advertised specifications, especially when it is there error, but not this one. I was told I could have the treatment for an additional $7.00. The receptionist said she would inform the manager of the typo I pointed out. I added the treatment to my services, but was not impressed, nor did I feel "pampered" by my technician. Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings are "Happy Hour" but I was only offered a drink after two other ladies came in for pedicures (they appeared to be regulars and were immediately offered martinis). When I went in for my eyebrow wax, another technician escorted me into a room. When she was done she left the room ahead of me and turned OFF the lights before I could exit the room. I was very disappointed in my services and expected more for the price and advertisement presented. I considered treating my 10 year old daughter and her friends to this pretty spa experience, but will definitely not take them nor myself back to this establishment. After leaving Perfectly Polished I felt slighted, rushed and overlooked.
Pros: Pretty decor
Cons: Mis-advertisement, un-friendly technicians

In a neighborhood newly awash in cheap mani-pedi places where service is unfriendly, cleanliness is questionable, and only perfunctory attention is paid to quality of service, Perfectly Polished is a breath of fresh air. It boasts a fun, pretty atmosphere and a visible commitment to keeping stations and instruments sanitary. Its aestheticians smile and make conversation (or not, if you're more into reading the latest issue of InTouch), and its owner is on-site and caring. My manicure and pedicure were top notch (no small feat for the first pedi of the summer season!) and I left smelling delicious! I will most certainly return for Perfectly Polished's Happy Hour, held Thursday-Saturday evenings, with girlfriends in tow. In short, Perfectly Polished is a much needed addition to lower Atlantic Avenue. Here's hoping they stick around for a good long while!
Pros: pretty, friendly, clean
Cons: a bit more expensive, but worth it
