Way overpriced and mediocre. They think you are just another stupid clueless hipster that just moved to Brooklyn from some Red State and that you don't know how much wine costs.

Very, very, VERY over-priced wine and finger "food." No meals. As former wine retailers we were shocked to see on our first and last visit that they offered no New Zealand whites nor Argentina reds !

Should have left right there. But like mugs we stayed and paid through the nose. Stand-offish staff didn't help. Seemed like a chore for them to help customers.

Almost $300 for three bottles of mediocre wine and some small snacks. Clearly, I have "retard" printed on my brow. Stay clear of these chancers.

Best Wine List Anywhere!!!. The most expansive wines by the glass and by the bottle list in Brooklyn!! Awesome small plates and tons of cheese from Stinky Bklyn and cocktails that are better than any of the fanciest clubs. At least thats what i think.

Wine, cheese, whiskey and cured meats in an upscale setting, from the owners of Stinky Brooklyn and Smith & Vine.. In Short
Despite its Carroll Gardens locale, there is a rustic, slightly Victorian air about this pre-Prohibition-style bar. A massive, ornate bronzed mirror serves as the backdrop for a dark mahogany bar (equipped with an old-time cash register), which is complemented by exposed brick walls and brocade wallpaper. The friendly, knowledgeable staff will gladly make suggestions from a menu that boasts 120 whiskeys, 50 wines, 40 cheeses and 20 cured meats--including jamon iberico, one of the world's most expensive hams.

Hits: Wines by the glass range from $5 to $17, pleasing both moderate and pretentious connoisseurs of all budgets.

Misses: Most of the tables are set for two, and without a hostess to manage crowds and a no-reservations policy, snagging a spot for a group of three or more can be a struggle.
