My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at Deity and not only did we get a great deal, but the owner and staff were excellent! Throughout the night our guests remarked how courteous, attentive, and fast the staff was and how hard they worked to accommodate our needs. The space is beautiful and everyone had a great time. I would enthusiastically recommend this space to anyone.

Deity is the party venue of your dreams! I searched hi and low for that perfect spot to celebrate a big birthday and stumbled upon Deity at a friend's b-day fete and fell completely in love. The bar lounge with the gorgeous tree is what initially sold me, but I ultimately I had my party in the loft upstairs which was, incredibly, even better. The loft is stylish with brick walls and hard floors, clean lines, sparsely and tastefully furnished, and an open but warm feel. The vibe was a mellow, candlelit, lounge-y apartment-style that would be perfect for any and every occasion. Definitely dreamy, hi-end, Tribeca loft feel, gorgeous facade and nabe, and easy parking if you're driving. I received excellent service from the staff and had direct contact with the owners who were a true pleasure to work with. Everyone who came to the party loved the space and the other floors of Deity, especially when we brought the party to the dancefloor downstairs to finish the night off. I still dream of that loft and am looking forward to a reason to celebrate there again. it was an AMAZING NIGHT! Thanks, Deity!

This was a beautiful day for us. Deity threw a great party and more than exceeded our expectations. A really special time that everyone enjoyed, kids and grown-ups alike. Then venue was fabulous, the entertainment divine. It was fun, no doubt, but it was the personal touches that made it really special. Thanks Deity and staff for a great party and for memories for a lifetime.

amazing interior great music cool environment overall. this place had a wonderful blend of different types of music great luxurious decor very contemporary. i definitely recomend this spot for anyone looking for a cool night out with friends.

great dance hall to trance def a winner. i love the mix of music they play at this spot its amazing. its a little crowded, but i like butts rubbing anyway.. lol ... def coming back for seconds !

Why go to Manhattan?. I give this spot two thumbs up!!!! I celebrated my birthday at Deity on 10/16/2010 and they offered everything I needed to my my night special. The owners are just amazing. When I was inquiring about having my party there, the response was quick and professional. The photos and information on there website reflects the true essence of the environment. The staff was great in assisting my needs the entire night. The food was good and affordable, especially the drinks!!!! Both the Supper Club & Underground meet my expectations. So, so far the venue, decor, food was all good!!! It gets better.

Now the DJ was definitely off da chain!!!! He played everything for everyone including Hip-hop, R&B, Techo, Soul, Dancehall Reggae, Old-School & Soca!!! My guest had a wonderful time and cant stop talking about their experience.

Deity gives you the "Manhattan" feel but in Brooklyn with Brooklyn prices from admission to drinks. Very affordable. I recommend this spot for any occasion or just to chill. I hope this helps anyone interested.

WOW!. I am still in awe ....... had a private party for my 50th and it was FABULOUS! Had approximately 100 guests and the drinks and food were great! I will definitely have another party here and on a night when I just want to chill with my husband and a few friends ....... I will be here!

Dance till you sweat. Ok…I know I am a dance-o-aholic and its rare to find places in New York anymore where you can really throw down and dance the night away till the sun rises. I am a true west coaster when comes to all night dance parties. I kept hearing about Deity and I had to check it out for myself. First, I checked out the DJ line up and it was pretty impressive especially to have someone like Pete Rock and Q-tip mixing at the turntables. I went. And I simply have to admit that I’ve had one of the best times ever for the New York nightlife scene. The Pete Rock and Q-tip party was AMAZING! I’ve never danced and sweated like I did that night. It was like all of New York that appreciates great music and who knows how to have a genuine good time were all out at this one spot in downtown Brooklyn. The downstairs dance floor was so packed that my friends and I decided to take the party upstairs at the Deity supper lounge. The tunes that Q-Tip and Pete Rock were spinning in the basement floor could be heard playing upstairs …so you really couldn’t miss a beat or the great vibes. The upstairs was just more on a low-key level… that was perfect because we still were able to dance (the dinner lounge in the late hours became an awesome spacious dance floor). I felt like we had our own private dance floor. I’ve never really seen a place were there were all kinds of people…serious. You had hipsters…b-boys…fashionably decked out girls who trooped it from Manhattan…trendy metro sexual boys…and your low key couples who were just out enjoying late night cocktails. The drink specials didn’t hurt either…$6 house cocktails and $4 beers….hey a girl can’t complain about this. I will truly go back again with my dancing shoes.

Deity love! xxxo. All I can say about Deity, is that it is the nicest club in Brooklyn hands down. I know this because I love to dance, and have touched about every dance floor in BK in the past 5 years! There is always a diverse mix of people ready for a good time. When I am there, I feel like a goddess in my majestic castle, comfortable and curious. It gives an intimate, sexy setting for private birthday parties or receptions. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting, even on a quiet night. As an interior designer, I notice the details! (beautiful stained glass art and comfortable seating) The owners are present and very accommodating. Definitely check their website for special party dates, and you will be a happy dancer!

TURNED INTO A GHETTO SPOT! DONT GO!!!. Went here last night to celebrate a friends birthday. After waiting outside with the bday girl for 30 mins (only because other friends were inside and the line was filled with hoodlums) I went directly to the bathroom on the 1st floor. After using the bathroom I immediately realized that I forgot my purse on the sink, so I waited for the girl who went in after me to come out. After she came out, my purse is missing. After fishing around for it, I realized my purse thrown in the trash and she stole my iphone and money. I tried to get security to help me, but to no avail. While waiting for the police outside the girl pretend she knew nothing. There were also other altercations happening outside as the police tried to calm everything down. I would say far away from this place, its just not worth the drama!
