“went there with some friends of mine the other night and it was well worth the walk down Court St. Carroll Gardens has a lot of great restaurants, but Luna Rossa is really one of the better places I've been to.”
The best pizza Brooklyn has seen!!!. If you want great pizza delivered with a warm and friendly personality, then you must visit Luna rossa. Their entire spread of pizzas makes you feel as if you're in Naples having a slice. If you're in the neighborhood, stop in and give it a try .... You will not be disappointed!!!
prueba de revision. estos son los detalles, me parece muy bueno como esta el resto, se come muy bien y la verdad que volveria sin ningun inconveniente... bla bla bla bla bla
GREATEST PIZZA AND ATMOSPHERE IN BROOKLYN.
If I had 10 thumbs I would give them all UP!!! I was referred by a friend to this restaurant and It was the best place to spend my night. I drove from Connecticut (an hour drive) to check this restaurant, and it was all worth it. The service was the best, the staff was warm and very helpfull with the menu. I started with the baked clams and they were fresh and tasty. The BRICK OVEN pizza was like no other.
I will be back at least twice a month. I recomend this restaurant to the entire world.
yummy!. I am from Naples, Italy and I have eaten the best pizzas...the taste of the pizza at Luna Rossa makes me feel like I am back in Naples...I live in Manhattan and the trip to Luna Rossa is absolutely worth it!!!
best authentic Napolitan pizza. Luna Rossa is the best new restaurant in our neighborhood in YEARS!! We have a born and bred Italian from Napoli in our family (and a chef at that) so our standards are very high for Italian food and especially pizza. We are amazed at how many places in the city and Brooklyn say that they make authentic artisanal Napolitan pizza and then just serve regular American pizza cooked in a wood burning oven. The owners of Luna Rossa make a gorgeous pizza, so good you might find it hard to go back and eat any other. The rest of the menu is also very good, fantastic salads and pasta and lovely daily specials. The atmosphere may not be super chic or fashionable, but the quality of the pizza and food in this little cozy neighborhood pizzeria keeps us coming back week after week. You can also find any number of Italian families filling up this place every night and the sound of Italian being spoken while you eat a lovely Margarita dripping with buttery fresh mozzarella just adds to the experience.....
Best pizza in Brooklyn.
I have tried a lot Pizzerias in Manhattan and Brooklyn after several years I finally found Luna Rossa. I have been visiting the pizzeria since last year. Its still the best ,the pizza is soft, light, and the fresh mozzarella doesn't leak water onto the pizza. They cook it on a wonderful brick oven. The atmposhere is simple, nice, warm and welcoming. i definitely recommend it.
Buonissima!!!!!
Pizza with a personality!. I've become a regular at Luna Rossa ever since I tasted it. I am very picky about my pizza, especially because I am spoiled for growing up in Italy and having tasted the real thing. Luna Rossa's pizza has a light and tasty crust, perfectly cooked in a brick oven and topped with delicious sauce and yummy melted fresh mozzarella. I always order the classic Margherita but my husband (who is from the Amalfi Coast in Italy and also is particular when it comes to pizza) has ordered a variety of different kinds. Try the Salciccia e Friarielli for a spicy sausage and peppers pizza. When my family was visiting from Italy I took my dad here and he thought the Napoletana (tomato mozzarella and anchovies) was excellent. And affordable! It's hard to find a place that combines wonderful authentic pizza with affordable prices and a friendly casual ambience. Luna Rossa does that for you. Check it out. I guarantee you won't be disappointed!
Authentic Italian on Court St, Brooklyn!. I got a recommendation about Luna Rossa from a friend of mine saying that I had to go there. I went there with some friends of mine the other night and it was well worth the walk down Court St. Carroll Gardens has a lot of great restaurants, but Luna Rossa is really one of the better places I've been to. The pizza is amazing - exactly like what I had when I was in Italy. I've been to all the famous pizzerias in Brooklyn too - Grimaldis, L & Bs, etc but this is the real thing. I come from an Italian family so I know what good Italian food tastes like and this really matches up. You can tell that all the ingredients are fresh. Not only is the pizza good, but the entrees are fantastic. My friends had the fish of the day and a pasta dish and both were really flavorful. The wine list is full of great Italian Reds and Whites plus I hear they are going to start doing wine tastings soon. The ambiance is quite lovely; candle lit dinners, Italian music, just a charming little place. The staff was very helpful and friendly and even the owner/pizza maker even came by to ask if the food was alright. Not only was the food very authentic but everything was very well priced. This is definitely one of the best kept secrets in Brooklyn and I recommend it for anyone!
Pizza di Napoli - the best in NYC !. My wife and I just ate at Luna Rossa last night and it was incredible. The pizza is just like you find in Napoli, in fact it is the best since we have been to the famous Da Michele, for those of you who know true pizza Napoletana. For those who have not been as fortunate yet to have the best pizza in Naples, finally you can now have it at this place in Brooklyn. The pizzaiolo (pizza maker)/ owner is from Napoli and has only been in NY for couple years. You can see his passion for the art of making pizza and you can taste it in every bite ! He only uses the finest ingredients (mostly imported from Italy), and fresh Fiore di latte (similar to fresh mozzarella , but better for pizza), as they use in Napoli. It is cooked to perfection in the wood burning brick oven, which also adds to the cozy atmosphere. The food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing as well, although we only tried one of the bruschettas, which was excellent. We will definitely go back and try some of the other food as well, and will definitely be regulars for the fantastic pizza. We travel from midtown Manhattan, and it is worth the trip !
Buonissimo!!. After living in Naples for several years, aside from the location itself, the thing I've missed the most is the pizza. There some close matches in NYC but Luna Rossa definately has it down to a T. And for a moderate price! Seriously if you are ever in the neighborhood you should check it out. I promise you wont be disapointed. Not in the mood for pizza? The pasta is cooked to perfection, and the sauces are to die for. They offer several mouthwatering entree's (I reccomend ANY of the dinner specials) all at crazy moderate prices. The atmosphere is cozy, small and warm really is a hole in the wall but It's perfect for a date, with family, or just by yourself. seriously if you ignore the outside you feel as if your just around the corner from la Piazza Bellini. Go before the word get's out!
