Cut ok, color not great.... Like the others, I was disappointed to discover that the stylist I've been working with for years is no longer at Donne Salon. I was open minded about the salon and let the owner do my color and give my hair a trim. Now, I really wish I hadn't. While the customer service was everything it should be, my hair was just missing the life that Fiona brings to it. I like the atmosphere at Donne, and the customer service is ok, but I go to the salon for great hair- which they did not deliver. When I got home, I figured how hard could it be to find a person with such an unusual name. I did a quick google search for "fiona supple" and sure enough, I was in touch with her in minutes. Thank god for the information age. My next appointment will be elsewhere.

Delightlful as ever!. Arrived for my appointment with Fiona yesterday to find she was no longer at Donne. Initially I was rather dismayed not to have been told when I called; I was having a really awful day anyway and this seemed like more of the same. The owners were lovely and apologetic, reassured me as to Fiona's health after her brutal summer and had nothing but nice things to say about her. Fiona-- where ever you are, I hope it is inspiring and exciting and a great move up; you've earned it! Linda-- thank you for a terrific cut and color touch-up. It was everything I hoped for and then even more perfect. You turned around a bad day that had all the makings of a rotten week. The ladies who did my shampoo, eyebrows and manicure (all on the spur of the moment) were as expert and solicitous as ever and could not have been nicer about my 2 year old escort rolling around and bodysurfing the nice smooth floor. Ladies I will be back often, a happier customer than ever.

authentic and talented. its NYC -- but you dont have to go far or spend lots to have perfect hair if you go to Donne Salon. i started going to Donne Salon about 2.5 years ago. i had very short hair at the time and asked for an apt with someone who was good with my type of cut. it was shaggy and needed shape and a bit of life. i then met valentina. from that first hair cut she has made me look beautiful every time i walk out. now that i have grown out my hair she still spends a few minutes every apt talking and discussing what i want to do this time. a little color, some layers, always fresh, very professional and warm to boot. the other women in the shop with her are all accomodating and friendly. and i agree, you get a wonderful shampoo too. a must for anyone looking for a good salon.

Great cuts and good prices. This salon offers excellent service in a very friendly atmosphere. You'll get a great cut for a very good price. They also carry natural hair care products for those of us that want to provide nourishment to our stylish cuts!

Fantastico!. I did not know what to expect when I heard about this salon through a girlfriend of mine and it exceeded all of my expectations!

The staff was adorable and helpful and transformed my look 100%: I went from a brassy blonde to sassy brunette in 2 hours--the stylist was flexible and even rearranged her schedule to accommodate me.

I love the music and their welcoming atmosphere. Complimenti Ragazze!

Great Stylist & Great attention. They take walk-ins!

They always try to help squeeze you in and accomidate you even if its busy!

Regular clients get notifications about monthly specials/discounts!

When i went in to cut 7 inches off i was a little worried,

(because my hair is very thick and curly and I didn't want a 'fro!!)...

but I sat down and got to explain exactly what I wanted and the stylist gave me ideas to help get it. She REALLY listened and offered great ideas that I didn't even think of !!!

....Some stylists are better at cutting/blowdrying and others at dying hair, so you have to be careful who you get for what. The first time I went in for a dye it was alright but the cut was amazing, when I went back a second time the other stylist who dyed my hair was a genius!!

BEST SALON EXPERIENCE!!!!!. I was just passing by and hadn't noticed this place before. I needed highlights and thought I'd see if they take walk ins... they do. I only had to wait about 10 minutes, and they were super attentive and even brought me a free cappuccino! I got the greatest shampoo I have ever had IN MY LIFE. My stylist Nicole was extremely knowledgeable and gave me amazing highlights. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Simply the best. I live in the neighborhood and have gone to several salons here. This place is, hands down, the best. First, when you call to make an appointment, the receptionist is always friendly and eager to help match you with the best stylist if it's your first time. When you arrive, you are greeted by smiles, great decor, and a complimentary refreshment. The stylists listen to what you want, and offer helpful suggestions if what you want might not work (they are trained professionals, after all). Whether I've gone in for a cut to help tame my once long, curly hair, or to get it all chopped off for a sleek new look, I've never walked out disappointed. . I am surprised by the negative post left on here by "ihatemycolornow", as I have never been unsatisfied. Perhaps their whole story is not being told, or it's simply a character flaw. Regardless, don't be daunted by the negative souls out there looking to vent. If you haven't been here yet, what are you waiting for? Great prices, great service, great atmosphere. Who needs to go to the city?
