In Short
Are the decorative shadows that the bar's front windows cast against a row of red half-moon banquettes scintillating? Sometimes. About two nights each week, a narrow curtain of silver spangles backs a miniature stage for burlesque performers, but when there isn't a lady prancing around in her skivvies, the naughtiest things here are the signature cocktail (bourbon and grapefruit juice muddled with cranberries, ginger and sugar) and a decadent, buttery grilled cheese.
Hits: Comfy booths, classy cocktails, and miniature burgers and sandwiches (dripping with caramelized onions) more than hit the spot.
Misses: Signature drinks with fancy ingredients take time to stir up, so service may be on the slow side.

perhaps you should consider the possibility that the black bouncer was offended by the appropriation of something from african-american culture ("bling") by a white person. look into it. wikipedia has an adequate explanation of cultural appropriation, but they won't let me post a url on here. also, you should think twice about claiming to not be r a c i s t if you're going to refer to someone with an allusion to a black cartoon character. sincerely, a white person who is disgusted by r a c i s t displays by other white people in the neighborhood.

Ok, so he looks like fat Albert, clearly I'm r a c i s t for making that connection. You probably look like Shrek, and? I don't give a $#%^ what kind of root problems he has about bling from his homeland, he was a d i c k and it wasn't called for....... Nice that your a wikipedia scholar, that's real special. In America... PEOPLE can wear what they want without having someone telling them how to dress. Before putting on clothes I'm sure you cross-reference the encyclopedia to make sure your not offending someone's ancestral roots from a continent they've more than likely never been to.

I met up with some friends here last Friday. First of all what a great name for a bar. We made the happy hour just in time. You get buy 1 get 1 from 4-7. We sat at the outside tables and observed how nicely Vanderbilt Avenue doing. There's lots of old school and new school businesses thriving together. Highly recommended for groups of friends!
