LIVE COUNTRY MUSIC VENUE IN RED HOOK BROOKLYN!. I'm very surprised no one has written a review for this place yet considering it has been opened for a long time. Jalopy is a live country music venue featuring bluegrass, accoustic, folk, etc.... It's also a place where people can take music lessons and purchase musical instruments. You can google their website just by typing in "Jalopy theater". For some reason, they don't allow me to post web links here.

Most of their live performances are free. Jalopy has a deal with the country music bar next door called "Moonshine" allowing you to purchase drinks there and bring them into Jalopy during the performances. The only negative thing I can say about this place is that it's a 20-25 min. walk to the nearest subway station, but it's normally worth it. Between Jalopy and Moonshine, you can't go wrong when it comes to country music.
