Editorial Review for Forum – by Justine Goodman
In Short
Housed in the East Village location once occupied by Pop Burger, Forum draws a large crowd thanks to its loud, boozy, just-plain-fun energy. As an added bonus, groups of young drinkers get a guaranteed party without excessive wait times at the door or at the 50-foot bar. Though students and young professionals reign supreme after the dinner hour, the over-30 set may drop by after work to watch the game, kick back on the plush red couches, or sip fancy cocktails whilst noshing on high-end bar food.
Hits: Forum strikes a nice balance between dive bar and hot spot, emphasizing the best parts of both without falling victim to the worst.
Misses: During peak hours it may suffer from the kind of overcrowding known to cause panic attacks, but most nights it leans toward just crowded enough to be fun.

Insider Tips
Happy HourSip $4 beers, $5 well drinks and $5 bloody marys while watching the game on one of Forum's flat-screen TVs every day until 8pm.
Food ServedIn addition to its regular menu of small and large plates like the Forum Pizza (foie gras, truffle oil and mozzarella cheese), during the football season a special menu of summer tuna rolls, duck confit empanadas and, of course, the usual fried fare, is also served.
What To DrinkIf money is no object, try one of Forum's $11 and $12 specialty cocktails like the Julius Ceasar (vodka, Grand Marnier, blood orange puree, splash of fresh lime juice) or the raspberries and creme (raspberry vodka, white chocolate Godiva liquor, a touch of Chambord).

I went here last week for a friends birthday and the hostess was a total B*TCH!!!! She looked our party up and down and said sorry your not on the list. LIES!!! My friend had made a reservation in advance but yet when we showed up it was miraculously not there. The hostess was a snotty push-up bra wearing idiot who was hired stictly based on a pretty face and not her IQ. When my friend said he had a reservation under his NAME and then stated his name she looked up after checking the list and asked him if the name he gave her was his name. No Air head he just said it was his name but no really his name is Bob. HOW DUMB CAN YOU BE BROAD ?!?!?! WORST SERVICE EVER!! And to top it off we had friends that showed up before the birthday boy and they got in by saying they were there for my friends party and using his name!!! One minute his name is on the list and the next its gone ?!?!? Invisible ink ???? I THINK NOT!!! NEVER GO HERE!!! Too pricey for crappy service!!!
Pros: Its in a nice location
Cons: Bad service, watered down drinks, bad service, snobby attitude, dumb staff

I booked my birthday here last weekend and was amazed that this place lived up to the hype. Most people do not give credit out when it is due, this place ROCKS!!!!! The music was phenomenal, I stayed to closing. Which by the way came with a champagne toast/spray with the staff! The bartenders and doorstaff were terrific. Everything was just perfect, with no headaches. Lastly definitely meet the manager, he is the man and did some great shots with me! I am a FORUM FAN!!!!!!!!
Pros: MUSIC, STAFF, MANAGER
Cons: NONE
