Amazing! – This restaurant not only has amazing, exceptional food and desserts, but they have great drinks and drink specials as well as an amazing atmosphere.
WORST PLACE IVE EVER BEEN TO – THIS PLACE IS COMPLETE AND TOTAL TRASH. THE STAFF AND MANAGEMENT ARE TERRIBLE. I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN A PLACE WHERE THE STAFF AND MANAGEMENT WERE HAD HORRIBLE ATTITUDES TOWARDS THEIR CUSTOMERS AND EMPLOYEES. DONT WASTE A DIME OF YOUR MONEY IN THIS PLACE!!!
Love this place and will come back – Everytime I come to this place I enjoy the experience. The place is very nice, catchy with neon lights, beautiful look inside with japanese face painted on the walls, lilis under the floor glass in the water by the entrance, budda at the entrance door, nice pendants by the booths in the main restaurant, etc. Food is great offering not only sushi as expected in japanese restaurant but also nice dishes such as; avocado and real crabmeat salad in avocado cavity in dressing (highly recommend), seafood dishes etc. Sometimes waiters by the front area take their time and don't check up on you unless it comes down to paying on the check, also male bartender was a bit tough if not to say the least, otherwise the place is great and I highly recommend it! The female bartender is very friendly. Valet parking is very hepful considering how hard is to find parking in the popular area, Bay ridge, so that was a treat. I'll come back again.
Weak New Years Eve – service was terrible for new years. they couldn't handle the crowd. not impressed
Great Food, Very Cool Restaurant – Love Love Love this place. I can't believe such a cool vibe place is in Bayridge. And the food is simply amazing. Im highly impressed by this sushi restaurant
You can't eat atmosphere, but you can eat the food – An upscale dinner that had existed on this site died, but this did not deter the owners of Fushimi. Fushimi is an upscale Asian Fusion restaurant and lounge decorated in the style of a hip Japanese disco with a branch in Staten Island. There is a Sushi Bar, a liquor bar, seductive dimly lit bathrooms and even a water lily tank in the floor.
Personally I found the décor over the top and done with less taste than their annoying website. Will some tell the web designer that thin knockout type on a dark background is simply illegible? There us a tiny barely useable parking lot guaranteed to generate lot of parking lot scraps and arguments.
I went for the $15 dollar luncheon and I was very impressed. There was a choice of Miso or Lemongrass w/seafood soup for starters. The appetizer list was mostly sushi, a calamari dish, edamane, shrimp shumai and gyoza. The edamane was cold, the calamari was nicely plated and well done but the portion was very small. However the Sushi was first rate and the spicy tuna was flavorful without burning your mouth,
The main lunch course had a surprising number of choices. The sesame chicken, sliced beef steak in a mushroom sauce, and scallops were stand outs. The scallops fresh and well seasoned, the chicken crisp and not dried out and the beef, the best I tasted in Brooklyn. Alas, the rice was cold.
While the portions were not big and the atmosphere a little over bearing, I am looking forward to dinner at Fushimis. While, the economy is not conducive to upscale restaurants in the boroughs, but if I had to bet on a survivor my vote is with Fushimi

Nice! – I keep coming back to Fushimi in Brooklyn, because they have very nice decor, good ambiance (its fancy enough for Saturday night) and interesting sushi rolls. Always go for their "special" roll, it often the best choice and always includes some unusual ingredient (mango, asparagus) tuna pizza was great too!
PS: I am a very picky eater
Wow! – At first I thought this place was a little too flashy for Brooklyn, but once I got my food I didn't care one bit. Everything was delectable. The music was a little loud, but then again it was S@xy Thursday and the crowd was very young. But overall, good food, interesting atmosphere, good service too, and what else can you ask for?
NEW SPOT FOR GREAT FOOD AND GOOD TIMES!! – My friend and I wanted Sushi one night and I said let's go to Bayridge. We got off the highway and saw Fushimi, I said let's try this place. The outside is ok, but when we walked inside I was like WOW. Not only is the place gorgeous, the decor is breathless and the atmosphere is both calming and electric. The staff was very nice and attentive. Now get to the food, I was very impressed not only does the food taste delicious the presentation is very artistic. Since my first visit, I have been there 3 times and will be going tonight for my daughters birthday with all my friends. This is my new Sushi spot.
Amazing – I am such a regular to this restaurant. The food, service atmosphere is amazing. Price is reasonable. If you live in Brooklyn and don't want to travel all the way to the city and still want the atmosphere of city restaurants, this is the place to go!
