I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Came here with my girls for a girls night - perfect place. Every kinf of mojito you can imagine, delicious appetizers, the staff was quick and super friendly. The music was perfect and we had a great time. I will definately - DEFINATELY - come back at least once a week now.

• Pros: CUSTOMER SERVICE & THE FOOD & DRINKS!!
• Cons: HAPPY HR ENDS TOO EARLY

BAD BUSINESS AT TAMBORIL LOUNGE!!!!

Don't do business with Tamboril "money hungry" Lounge In Brooklyn NY, they canceled my charity event that I booked a month ago for a private party with only 2 day notice!

I've done two events there already, Aries are so Breezy and Two Worlds Collide!

Ed called my fiance DJ Bloc a month ago and was desperate for an event to fill this Nov 21st date, because someone had canceled their private party.

So DJ Bloc, Lonye West and I got together and set out to putting together an event, now entitled "Cheers To You!"

Ed gave us a great deal because he was in need and loved our "Cheers To You" concept with of course a Pretty World Inc Signature networking hour, and charity portion, the collection of canned goods and clothing to benefit the Annual Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc Service Project held at the Port Authority on Thanksgiving Morning, where the Alphas feed the homeless a thanksgiving meal and provide donated clothing and toys to homeless individuals and families with children.

Now all of a sudden, last night, Ed calls and says WE CANNOT HAVE OUR EVENT.. WHY? because he double booked and isnt an honest enough business man to rectify his mistakes.

He made a commitment with us back in October, but did not require us to leave a deposit because he is the one who called us to do business.

He made a second commitment with another person sometime in the past week or so. The person is the same one who previously canceled their private event. Already aware he had given her date away because she canceled, HE TOOK HER DEPOSIT ANYWAY and then called us to cancel.

Why? because obviously cash in hand is a better opportunity for him than an event that he personally ASKED to be developed.

The woman who left her deposit doesn't want outsiders to attend. He supposedly claims he asked her if we could both have our event there.

So now I am out of luck without a venue?????? TWO DAYS BEFORE!!!!!

Funny thing is he guaranteed her there would be a DJ there, which he doesn't have. Do you know he had the nerve to ask DJ Bloc to DJ her event???? When he won't let us bring our people inside??? Are you kidding me?

What kind of underhanded trifling type of operation is he running there?

This is just bad business all around.

Especially since having done our last 2 events there we have referred at LEAST 5 people who have also had their birthday parties there!!!

So basically he has made at least $8000 off of DJ Bloc and I through referral business which he has so readily accepted and enjoyed over the past 5 months, yet he is willing to sever what had been a continuously mutually beneficial agreement over a measly $1000 deposit that this mystery person has left???

Our business relationship is over now. This is no longer a mutually beneficial agreement. It's trifling.

So now I must put his ass on blast.

I DON"T HAVE A VENUE TO COLLECT MY CANNED GOODS AND CLOTHING ON SATURDAY.

The second ring of effects of his unprofessional, unacceptable, trifling actions now means on THANKSGIVING DAY the donations I expected to make may be NAUGHT!!!

Can anyone help me out? do you have access to a venue this Saturday??? At this point its more about the donations than the profit. I just want to have my event and be able to participate in the service project on Thursday!

I'm ASKING that we all BOYCOTT Tamborils "MONEY HUNGRY" Lounge. Who would risk severing an ongoing business relationship for a few greenbacks!!! THAT IS JUST UNETHICAL EVEN IN A RECESSION!!!!!

To all my friends who had their events there previously, there is no need for us to continue to patronize this business. Let his bad seeds sow him all the weeds he is intended to grow!!

As of right now, the event is in limbo, Lonye, DJ Bloc and I are frantically trying to secure another location. We will let you all know tomorrow!

This is place is amazing!

First of all, I have never written a review but this place is soooo good I have to tell all. I have been there twice and counting. The food is amazing, the waiters are friendly and prompt, and the drinks are just as good. Everything on the entree menu is absolutely delicious. Don't be afraid to try something if you see that coconut or mango may be apart of your meal. Those are just examples of their creativity. Everything does not include those two fruits. Trust me, they prepare their dishes in a way that you won't even realize any odd combinations. Overall, you have to see for yourself. This place is a must for dinner and drinks!
