Citycuts. This place is golden............. They do hair extensions fake and human hair, weaving, body waves, perm, foil and cap highlights, lowlights, very professionally. They also do braiding, dying, bleaching, funky an dpunky colors, temp and semi permanent, and even permanent. They are awesome. You look like you are walking down Hollywool boulevard. They do blowouts straightening, and the japanese and the amazing brazilian keratin treatment which lasts for months. They do the deep japanese conditioning to make you hair smooth. They are serious with their work, though they can be a tad bit on the expensive side

Great cut and attention to the big picture. After a long hiatus and a move to a new city, I went back to Joe with a hair situation. I've had some cuts in the past year or so that didn't do much for me and a recent bag trim that left me pulling and tugging trying to encourage them to grow faster.

Since I was in town for the weekend, it was important to work in the time for a trip out to Park Slope to fix my hair.

I lived in Park Slope years ago and went to Joe pretty regularly. The hair cuts were good. Some better than others. I went once many years ago when I had short hair and I was not happy with it. But since then, he came up with a long term plan for my hair when I explained that I wanted to grow my hair out long.

He considered my hair texture and face shape and went to town. I got lots of compliments on my hair during this time.

Then I moved away.

I was happy to find places that cut hair for about $50 and included a nice little scalp massage, but the cuts were not as thoughtful.

On Friday, Joe worked on my hair for more than an hour. My hair is thick and long and now there are a lot of nice "round" layers.

The result is a cut I love with the curls and waves I like so much.

This was the first time he took so much time on my cut and he explained step by step what he was doing so that I could try to explain it to the stylist in my new town.

It was also great to talk to Joe. He's so nice and it's so encouraging to hear him talk about his thoughts on the community and Brooklyn. He's got his priorities in the right place.

The price did go up about another $20 since the last time I was there. But now I have a cut that will grow into itself very well and probably last until Christmas -- thusly covering another two 50-dollar not-so-good haircuts.

THE BEST!!!!. I love this place. It always has a great vibe- and the people who work at the salon are so nice, and talented. You just don't find salons like this. My hair always looks amazing!!

customer for many year but wont be going back. I feel that in order to get a good cut here your stylist needs to be in a good mood. When I've been there depending on his mood was how much he charged me, and how well he did the cut. I got sick of the games. I won't be going back

Best Hair Salon in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Jesse is the best!! It was my first visit and I was very impressed with the service and my new haircut. I can't wait to go back!!

Horrible haircut. Horrible.. I am livid. I have been there before and had a good positive memories. But this time a girl with a pinkish hairdo cut my hair, I don't know her name because I forgot to ask since I had to leave the place before I loose my temper inside. She rushed my haircut, didn't do what I asked her and on top of it did a horrible job. I am looking at my haircut at the mirror now and see the uneven holes she left, as if she had her revenge on me.

We barely talked, we never met before and I can't think of anything I did that upset her.

I didn't leave her a tip, but I paid for the haircut, something I probably should not have done. I am contemplating calling her boss and letting him know. Will I go back, hell yeah, to ask for my money back.

Your ordinary straight guy from the neighborhood.

wonderful and comfortable. Danielle was great with the cut and color of my hair. i brought in a picture and she went over everything with me, from color tips to ideas about making the style more my own. have been completely in love with the cut and color since.

The atmosphere was relaxed back but fun. the stylists all seemed to be open with each other and helped out with one another and gave advice as needed.

will be back.

Go to Joe for a great cut.. Everytime Joseph gets a hold of my hair it looks fabulous. He knows exactly what to do with my big curls and waves. The cuts he gives me are versitile. Whether blown out straight or air dried my layers are sculpted and they grow out beautifully. Joe has been my hair stylist for at least 5 years and I have always been very happy with his skills and I trust him with his creative ideas. And ladies he never cuts off too much. He always leaves my hair long and alluring. I recommend him highly. You won't be disappointed!

Amazing. I can't say enough good things about the Salon. Joseph has been cutting, and coloring my hair for approx. 4 years, and always looks amazing. People stop me at least once a week, and compliment my cut. I have baby fine hair, and he has been the only stylist that has been able to give me an amazing style. I highly recommend Joseph and his skills. He is extremely professional, creative, and talented. I will never go anywhere else.

Never a bad experience. Francine gives one of the best cuts in town. I am a total wimp in the hair department, but I fully trust her when it comes to giving me a new look. She never goes over the top, but always keeps me up-to-date. I don't about the others at this salon, but as far as the Frannie experience is concerned, it is a great one.
