BEST VET EVER! – I have taken my toy poodle, Movie Star to Dr. Felton since I got her almost 6 years ago. Before that I took my cat Jack there over 12 years ago. I have several friends that live not nearby & still go to Dr. Felton. ANYONE who knows me KNOWS that my little girl is my LIFE- I would never take her anywhere else for basic vet needs .
Calm, reassuring and very knowledgeable – I have been taking my pets to Dr. Felton for over ten years. (one cat, and 3 dogs). Through good times (routine checkups) and sad, (death of the old doggie) Dr. Felton and her staff always strike the right tone. Not all dogs are created equal, and my rescue dogs are not always on their best behavior, but Dr. Felton is able to handle any temperament with ease and confidence. Never judging, just helping. I highly recommend Dr. Felton Veterinary Services. Thanks Dr. Felton!
Always very good – Anyone with a pet would do well to see Dr. Felton. Her dedication is real and and she truly does care. She is a top-notch diagnostician, and will do all she can to help your pet. She will not run any tests that aren't necessary. You will find a veterinarian for life if you go to her.
Not so good now – I had great experience before, but now I leave messages and the people call back and seem annoyed. My cats are old and I have lot of questions. One cat gets medicine for thyroid and its expensive for tests. Also nobody seems to know me or my cats.Very sad
Best veterinary experience I've ever had – I usually do not wirte review, but I want to let people know that she is a great vet. Two of my cats have been seeing Dr. Felton since they were in BARC shelter. She remembered both of them shortly after I adopted and took them for the first check up. All the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about animals. I just learned how to give fluid shots to my cat who's having a renal failure. The technician was very nice lady. Even though I was very nervous and scared of needles, she was very patient and sweet to me whole time. She even called a few days later to check up on me and my cat. Now my cat's doing fine except when I give a shot to her.
Also, Dr. Felton gave me several articles and handouts(written by her) about particular cases such as renal failure, litter problems, transporting animals out of united states, cat scratch disease, and so on. They are very helpful to have at home. Dr. Felton is very understanding and caring person. She listens to me and gives a lot s of advice based on her experiences and patient animals. And, this office is resistered to VetCentric which I can purchase special prescribed food for my cat online.
There's one thing you should know, cell phone reception is not very good in that area(I think it's close to river? maybe?), so if you need to call a cab or car service, you can ask the staff(which I always do) or call them ahead.
Amazing vet! – You can not find a better group of professionals for your pet in Brooklyn. This team is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure you completely understand the health conditions of your pet. Their cost of service is reasonable and their hours are great. I have two dogs and would not carry them anywhere else!
Worst vet experience I have ever had! DO NOT SEE DR FELTON – This woman is the worst vet I have EVER had! She charged $450 to run tests that she didn't explain. I misunderstood her prescription and when i called back six months later to get antibiotics for my cat I got major attitude and staff and vet were very rude. I transferred to a new vet (Hope Vet - highly recommend) and asked to have records transferred. I saw the notes on my chart. The notes were incredibly rude and disparaging. She wrote on my chart that I said I would report her if she refused to send my medical records. Both a horrible woman and a horrible vet. Her office is a complete messy disaster as is she. DO NOT GO TO HER!!!!!
They Don't spay females!?! – I like that they work with BARC and that sold me on them, but when I called to inquire about spaying my kitten I found out that they don't do spaying for female pets.
Great office and caring doctors.. – I would recommend Dr. Felton and Dr. Schwartz to anyone looking for a veterinarian in the neighborhood. I started bringing my two cats there this summer. The staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Felton and Dr. Schwartz take their time with my cats, and always ask if I have questions. They called me the next day with lab results, and are available to talk on the phone. The only drawback is, you have to book an appointment about a week in advance. But when I had an emergency, Dr. Felton stayed late to see my cat. I like the fact that they take care of the animals at the the BARC shelter, too.
wonderful. The doctors and staff are caring, available and knowledgable. – I don't want to say too many great things because I don't want to not get in to see them, but it is hard not to. What a good experience I had with this office. Had never been there, my cat had been ill for 2 days, they spoke to me on the phone with concern, and the possibilities of the causes, asked loads of questions and offered to test stool and urine samples before getting into the expense of either an office visit (of which they were more than happy to schedule straight away) or extensive testing. They were amazing with an otherwise well behaved but super freaked out at the vet kitty. Every person there was attentive, humane, clear and caring and just exuded a natural tendency of kindness.
