“This just re-enforces everyones bad views on this place.”
“Sit outside, and enjoy your burgers and beer.”
“All in all, this horribly disappointing meal costs us $43 dollars for a Sunday lunch.”
“So, if your in the mood for an all-American burger, great selection of almost 20, this would be the perfect place for it.”
“would really like for Brooklyn Burger Bar to succeed, because Park Slope needs another good burger place like Bonnies.”
“The first few times the service was a little slow, but fortunately we gave this place another shot and it is one that we go back to often.”
“great customer service”
“The Milk Shake was good but overpriced, and I Enjoyed the Fries.”
“The service was rather slow, and my boyfriend and i got more attention from the busboy/floor sweeper than we did from our server.”
GREAT, GREAT GREAT BURGERS!!. I cant believe how great the burgers are in this place. Verry very impressed. Keep it up hipsters i mean Flipsters!!
Amazing.... It's amazing how overpaying can trigger people to write horrible reviews. Flipster's actually has a pretty solid burger...the problem is it isn't spectacular and it's going to cost you $8 (more like $14; burger, fries & soda combo). I find the turkey burger to be much better than the regular beef burger especially considering turkey burgers usually aren't good. The toppings are solid... And yes, ordering a turkey burger allows you to leverage the saved fat with a slice of cheese. Considering the lack of decency in the area, Flipster's is better then the numerous hell-holes serving 'burgers'. I'd love to hear an alternative within decent walking distance...taking advantage of all their specials is the way to go…
Do Not Go Here...EVER!.
Went here for brunch on a Saturday morning. It was full so I didnt expect super prompt service, but did expect much more that I got. After about 10 mins the waitress finally arrived and was clueless of the menu telling me they didnt have bread or english muffins (which were on the menu). She also didnt think the bar had the proper ingredients to make a screwdriver...had to explain what was in it. The food took an hour and 15 min to get to the table (we only ordered eggs and pancakes). Everyone in the place was complaining about the super slow service so it wasnt just us.
Once we got the food, it was pretty good, but then again I was so hungry that anything would have made me happy.
The bill came and they automatically put 20% tip on the bill for 4 people. This was a major turnoff and our clueless waitress certainly didnt deserve a 20% tip.
Bottom line, this place may be ok if you are the only people in the pace.
horrible management. I passed by last friday. After a concert on prospect park..The food was good.. The service was poor.We cant expect better when the manager was drunk and hittin on customers.. fake mcdonalds.......
watch out female guest. just read a blog in park slope. As a female drinker, i feel unsafe to be an environment where the chef n manager take advantages of drunk girls at the bar and have fun with them at the end of the night in their restaurant. especially on a holiday evening.
Simple and Great !. If you want a good burger and fries that are crispy, eat at Flipster's. I got the Organic Burger with Avocado, Egg, Onion rings and Cheddar, Waffle Fries and Half-n-half shake. Despite the fact that I had to crawl out of the restaurant because I was so full, it was one of my best brunch experiences I have had. Their menu is full of great options and the restaurant is fairly easy to get to. The problem is that there is not ease to find parking and that u might be too late, hence too crowded. The best plan then is to get your meal to go and eat on a bench with friends outside or take it and head to the park.
GREAT PLACE...GREAT FOOD...GREAT SERVICE.... Well I have to admit I was a little skeptical about trying this place because it has such mixed reviews...I've heard really good things about it but unfortunately have read quite the opposite...So here is my experience: Drinks: local Brooklyn beer and some fancy Belgian one...needless to say we had few few rounds especially since it was happy hour and they were half-off. Apps: Wings (awesome)and Chicken Quesadilla (so so) Dinner: Kobe Burger and a Veggie one loaded with Swiss cheese, mushrooms and bacon. To sum it up the food was awesome and the service was great!! I'm not sure what one would expect going to a burger place, but we were quite impressed (who would have thought?). The place was nice and pretty packed. (Which I have to admit says a lot these days, not to mention the several empty restaurants we passed along the way) you should definitely try this place out . Highly recommended!!!
Stop in...it's worth it...!. I went to this restaurant with one of my friends. It was the first thing we saw when we got off the train and we were hungry. The place is pretty awesome. I had the Organic Burger with sweet potato fries and it was awesome. The food was great and it's not like every other fast food burger place because you can actually sit down and they bring the food to you, full service, which was very good, friendly and attentive. It was a bit expensive but I thought it was worth it. So, if your in the mood for an all-American burger, great selection of almost 20, this would be the perfect place for it.
Absolutely fabulous!. I live in the neighborhood with my two boys and this is now our favorite place to go to. I can't keep them away from my sweet potato fries! And they rarely want to share their waffle fries or onion rings! Its pretty funny. We never wait long for our food to arrive, everyone is friendly and when you dine with kids free refills and combos are a big plus! I think their pricing is fine. You are getting fresh food not frozen. Considering the cost of milk and gas, I think they are quite fair with their pricing. We don't eat out much but when we do, we're a picky bunch so for me to take the time to do this review, you should know my kids and I are very pleased and have to say it loud and proud!
Great Burgers... Great Deal.... Just want to start off by saying that I don't really understand all the bad comments and reviews about Brooklyn Flipster's. People still must think it's the Burger Bar and remember the bad name. This is an awesome place with a great atmosphere and service. I got one waitress one day that was pretty bad but I guess you have that in every restaurant, it's only matter of time until the management realizes it and then she's gone, as she was, since i haven't seen her again. So don't let those bad comments stop you from trying a great place. I live just few blocks away and I go there every so often with my boyfriend and friends. The burgers are delicious and cooked perfectly. I love their beer selection and the staff is very welcome and nice. I took a couple of friends of mine who were visiting from Poland and they loved it. They loved the half-price drinks all night on Wednesday where Happy Hour doesn't end ;-D Great Deal...
