“We've brought in some great new desserts from Vegan Treats from Penn.”
“great place!”

Strong Stumptown coffee, hearty meat and vegetarian breakfasts, and cooling lemonades are the attractions here. A beautifully warm, high-ceilinged space offers a berth for long, relaxed conversations.
I started out getting coffee from this place, which was excellent, but then decided to start trying their food. I got their mac n cheese dish for lunch and boy howdy...delicious. I wasn't a "heaping" plate, but definitely filled up and was satisfying. It's one of those foods that don't make you feel bad when you stand up. Neat atmosphere, and recommended if you're in the Greenpoint area.
Best coffee in the Point?. Amazing coffee, with even better staff. A great addition to the neighborhood.
hooray for an awesome local cafe! and breakfast joint!. AWESOME waitstaff, and totally amazing breakfast. Plus the coffee is top notch. I live in the neighborhood and love going there. One wish is if they had wireless. I would love to go there with my laptop and chill....great place!
Hi From Brooklyn Label!.
Hi to all our regulars and brunch visitors! We'd like to update everyone on what's going on at Brooklyn Label:
We're happy to bring Ed Bode on as our new Head Chef. Many of you have already recognized him from his southern fried days at Union Picnic. Once he gets settled in you can all expect some great specials coming your way.
We have recently changed our hours to a winter schedule. Our new hours are 7am-7pm monday through friday, 9am-7pm on saturday, and 9am-4pm on sunday. We will keep these hours until our liquor license is finalized (yes, we are still waiting..) and spring arrives.
We've brought in some great new desserts from Vegan Treats from Penn. They are amazing! Deliveries come in on tuesday evenings. Vegan Treats is a great company with a cult following, and we can see why. Sinfully good!
We've also made some health conscious changes to our menu. We've switched to soy oil to cook our eggs, some of our breakfast entrees, and our hashbrowns, rather than butter. We're keeping the butter where it's needed, but trying to lighten up where we can.
On a personal note, to all of our regulars: Aaron and myself are on tour right now to support our first album, and will be on the road for 5 weeks!! the rest of our staff will be taking care of you all while we're gone. We look forward to seeing you all when we get back.
Sincerely-
April Goettle

This Greenpoint eatery tames crowds of hungry locals with hearty brunch fare made from scratch.. This is the ideal Brooklyn neighborhood spot, complete with an unassuming crowd, hot comfort food and good coffee. During the crowded brunch service, plentiful light reflects off the yellow walls and the large restaurant is filled with morning chatter from everyone from athletic cyclists to hung-over hipsters. Details like patches of exposed brick and an artfully distressed ceiling add that funky Greenpoint touch. Homemade American fare like buttermilk fried chicken, biscuits and sausage gravy, burgers, and red flannel hash are all guaranteed to fill you up, while the Mayan, a velvety mix of hot cocoa, mildly spicy pasilla chili and two shots of espresso, will make sure you don't get drowsy.
