“Beautiful decor with belly dancers at 9PM.”
“The service was attentive though maybe a little slow (forgiveable seeing that they just opened and there were so many of us) The decor was stunning--hand-made lacey carved wood work created by workers in Morocco, hand-decorated dishes, the color scheme on”
“The drinks were great, albeit pricey.”

“have eaten with a group of people the other day , i thought it was gonna be a great experience , before dinner i went to the restaurant and amazed with the decor but after having dinner i decided not to go back there again, the food was awful , i had th”
One of a kind restaurant!. This restaurant is NOT closed. This place is absolutely breathtaking. There is a huge area downstairs where you can have private parties, as well as an area in the back. Hookahs are available, and the FOOD is fantastic! This is the gem of Park Slope. Specials are offered daily.
5 Star.
As a fan of their sister restaurant Barbes, I went out to Brooklyn to try Babouche....what a pleasure!
The atmosphere is like no other. Had a great dinner in the main room and retreated later in the night to the lounge. The lounge is a great place for a private event or a special night. For romance, request the alcove room in the back.
Awesome food!. my boyfriend and i just ate there looking to have some hookah and food.. food ws incredible, service was great.. we happen to be the only 2 people there! but had a great private alcove spot in the back..music was great too..
Fabulous.
Went on a Monday night for their "steak night" - no better deal around! Best Filet Mignon in Park Slope.
The food is consistently good.
The decor is beautiful.
They offer both traditional moroccan cuisine (which is definitely the best in ny) and moroccan/french/american fusion.
Went on a Saturday night for a birthday party in the lounge which has a fabulous atmosphere.
The brunch menu is a winner as well.
Some nights they have live music.
Amazing Seafood!. Babouche has a seafood special on Tuesdays for $19.95 featuring a seafood appetizer and entree. Many delightful choices are available. I began with the tuna tartare. It was seasoned wonderfully and came in a plentiful portion. The entree was a Sea Bass, presented whole, and again seasoned to perfection. The meat was tender yet moist. I was very very happy. Service was above par and very friendly. The host welcomed me and my friend, answered our questions about the restaurant, made a wine recommendation that worked extremely well with my food choices, and offered to give us a tour of the back lounge when our meal was done. My friend had the calamari salad and red snapper. He raved about the quality of the fish. For $19.95 we both felt we got more than our moneys worth.
Closed - no longer open.. This restaurant is closed and has been for quite some time. So has the Casablanca Tea Room.......too bad though since I enjoyed the atmospheres at both restaurants and their food was delicious.
Cute place....but experience wes not exceptional. The restaurant has its highs and its lows. For starters on a Friday night I expected there to be more of a vibe and crowd....but it was quiet and pretty much empty. When I asked to be seated in a great table the waitress told me it was for four people. Although there were only three other tables filled up at the restaurant she said "you never know when four people will want to come in and eat". To her disappointment that never happened. In fact the table stayed empty the whole night. Anyway after about 20 minutes of being seated in various spots that were either in the VERY HOT upstairs dining room or a table by the elevator....I finally wrangled myself into the little tent area where the ambiance was allot better. However I will say that my guest was over 6 ft tall and had a hard time on the low seats. Anyway, the service was good and so was the food. The drinks were not that great, but were VERY strong. The plus is that they were only $5! Overall it was a lack luster evening that I could do without. Most likely they will not be seeing me again. Not sure if I would reccomend especially for the quality compared to the high prices.
good times. didn't eat here but had drinks at the bar late one night..they had a great dj and the bartender was super friendly..good cocktail selection as well. food looked good.
Best service and atmosphere.
I went to Babouche sunday night and had the best time. I went with my date and had no reservation. We were seated right away and i was in awe of the atmoshphere. Since we've never had this type of food befor our watier (Matt) led us though the menu of some of the best and or traditional dishes, and we were wowed!!
This French Moroccan restaurant will give your night the touch of flavor your looking for!

BEST Place in Soho!!!! Hands Down!.
I have been a repeat customer at Babouche many times and out of all the restaurants I frequent in Soho, it is by far the best place to go for food, ambience and service! Every time I dine there, I am never disappointed with the food, and you just cannot beat the atmosphere. Even in the heart of Soho, there is absolutely no attitude at all from the people who work there; unlike many restaurants in the area, you can dine there and feel welcome, at home and very well taken care of!
The restaurant has only been open for few months, but I have been there many times and love it and am compelled to write a rebuttal to other reviews. In fact, I was witness to a great example of the hospitality and accomodating nature of the staff at Babouche. I was a customer last night, sitting near the front of the house when a group of four entered and started a commotion. It seemed like they had a reservation and overhearing the conversation going on between them and the manager or owner, the group had apparently shown up late. WHO SHOWS UP LATE ON A SATURDAY NIGHT IN SOHO FOR A RESERVATION?! Hello!!! They were giving the staff a hard time, totally disrupting our meal, and the staff was going out of their way to work with them and find a solution that would work for everyone. I was very impressed by the way they handled the situation, and this is just one example of the warmth and accomodating nature of the staff at Babouche.
Not only that, but they always make me feel at home! They remember me when I go there and have even offered me mint tea and cookies on the house. In short, you cannot find such generosity and sincerity anywhere else in Soho!
LOVE IT!!
