“Great location, conveniently located near the R train at Union Street.”
“She matched up my hilights perfectly and managed to make my hair look longer , feel a million times better , and reversed much of the damage that had been done by previouse stylists She is geniouse at what she does, with creative ideas for each person that”
“Lilah listened to what I wanted, was very professional and very patient with me (i could be a huge pain in the **** when it comes to my hair).”
“My hair was way too short back then, yet she created an amazing long-hair-bun look.”
I was looking for a good affordable spot that could treat/rebond my hair the same way my salon in Singapore used to (I have very thick, long hair) and Leila has been incredible. I was looking for a Japanese-type hair straightening treatment resulting in a natural look (and not pin straight which is usually the case) but almost every salon in NYC seemed to either offer only the Brazilian style keratin treatment (which lasts all of three days on my hair) or the style which makes your hair look unnatural when it grows out. I have come back to Delilah salon 3 times in the last year and never need any other treatment for my hair all year long!. I certainly hope to keep coming back to have Leila work on my hair. She is extremely patient and consistently does an excellent job with the Italian product she uses on my hair. The treatment usually takes over 5 hours each time but it us money and time well spent. Highly recommend!
I've been going to Delilah Salon for
over two years now and would not choose any other place. Leila has had the patience to truly re-design my hair after arriving to her a year back with two toned colored hair damaged by a relaxer.
Now my hair is gorgeous, silky, and growing stronger than ever. I have amazingly priced highlights and a beautiful haircut. Leila is very caring and helpful and does a great job at guiding you to choose the right color that best fits you and not to mention does a splendid job at cleaning up my layers. I always leave with a smile and confident that my hairstylist knows her stuff.
I always get a truly personal and tailored experience and would recommend anyone to come. You really do not want to miss out!
Delilah Salon try it you won't be disappointed. This hair salon was recommended to me by a friend. Layla is amazing. I have never received so many compliments on my hair. I have finally found the perfect salon. No frills just the best cut, color and highlights ever. I live in the West Village and feel it is worth the short subway ride. Her prices are realistic. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly very low key.
hidden gem. I found this hair salon on city search and today went to have a hair cut and coloring, Eliena did my hair. She did an excellent job. I will definitely go back. The price was very reasonable. I would have never found this place on my own.,
If you are on the fence...GO!.
I found Delilah through Citysearch. It has such great reviews I thought I should give it a try. And I am SO glad I did.
Here were my concerns before going:
1. Location. It's a bit sketchy.
2. Decor. It's a bit cheezy.
3. Price. It is so cheap, does that mean there is something wrong with it?
Here is what I can tell you after going:
1. Location is a bit weird. Okay, very odd. But I got over it.
2. Decor. I remember sitting in the chair getting my hair washed and looking around. Felt more like a greek pizza place than a salon.
3. Price. Amazing, especially for what I tell you next.
So you can see I had some serious hesitations before I got my hair cut AND colored. And I left with one of the best haircuts and color jobs I've ever had.
Conversation with my husband when I got home:
H: "Your hair looks amazing."
W: "I don't think you've ever told me that."
H: "I know."
I saw Leila. She cut my hair EXACTLY the same way as the guy in Manhattan who I used to pay $135 for just a haircut. I was a total salon snob before thinking you should spend lots of money on your hair because it's the only thing you wear everyday. I left Delilah's as a new dedicated client who will go back as long as I live in NYC. Leila did an amazing job with my highlights that look SO natural. And the cut was perfect (note: I wanted to keep my hair long and oftentimes a stylist will 'trim' it which means they cut off 1-2 inches. Leila truly only cut 1/2 an inch, but gave me fabulous layers as well that don't look like a shelf). And I got a first time client discount so the whole thing was only....$173!!! Amazing!!!!
If you are on the fence...go, go, go!
Best Salon in town. I am a regular customer in this salon ever since Tatiana did my hair. Her level of experience is unmatched and she knows what to do to make the customer happy. I walked in and she knew what I wanted and made my hair look just like what I pictured. This salon creates a great and happy atmosphere and i am delighted every time i go back. I strongly recommend this salon and Tatiana.
from a devoted customer. I've been getting haircuts from Leila since before she opened her own Salon, and followed her down to 4th Avenue because she listens, she cares about my hair, and she remembers what I like even if months go by between visits. Now that Leila has been cutting my hair for almost 4 years, I don't get a haircut from anyone else. Give Delilah Salon a try. You won't be disappointed.
Excellent Haircuts, Affordable Prices.
Six years ago, I started going to Leila before she had her own salon. Now I live in Washington Heights, and I make the hour-long trek to see Leila for every haircut. She cares about every haircut and takes the time to give me exactly what I want. Leila is extraordinarily talented at cutting curly hair and has never disappointed me.
Moreover, she's an incredibly warm and caring person!
Tatiana also gives amazing haircuts, particularly for short, curly hair. I can't recommend Delilah Salon highly enough.

I recently relocated to Park Slope from Manhattan and decided to check out a salon on 4th Ave and Union Street called Delilah. My appointment was with Marc. Much to my surprise, my highlights look better than the $300 job I was getting in the city and the cut was fantastic. I thought for sure Marc was from Manhattan but he claimed he came from a salon on Fifth Ave. a block away. He used three different blond colors on my hair. I've been back twice and have not been disappointed. Must round up my city gal pals and make a day of Delilah Salon with a nice brunch on Fifth Ave. to follow! Thanks, Marc!
Excellent consultation, color and cut!.
I always get an excellent cut at Delilah's salon, but the other day I also got an amazing color experience. A week later and I am still getting compliments.
I popped in the other day to talk about what to do for my wedding day and Leila was excellent at helping me talk to the process. When we both figured out that my idea of creating an updo by myself the day of probably wasn't going to happen and add extra stress, she gave the excellent advice of adding some color to my hair for extra shine and giving it a sexy and easily style-able cut. I walked out of there a few hours later with an excellent color, super-shiny hair and a sexy bob that matches my persona and wedding dress perfectly. I am so psyched that I don't have to worry about futzing with my hair on my wedding day and that I have a style that will look great for the honeymoon. Many many thanks.
