I was in a jam a few days ago when I had a last minute date with this great guy I met long ago. He was in NYC and I wanted to make an impression. I found great hair people at Arrojo Studios, but then I wanted someone who really knew what they were doing for my makeup. I took a leap of faith and made an appoitment with Shara the day of, and she happily fit me into her schedule. I am so glad she did because I felt amazing and just like myself (just like who I always wanted to be..and my confidence showed through). My date kept on saying that something was different about the person I had become and he liked it ;) Yeah for beauty!

I’m from the UK, but got married in Central Park NYC in August, we arranged everything to the last detail to be perfect and I wanted my whole wedding experience to be fun, relaxing and no hassle, therefore I spent a loonnnnnggg time looking for the perfect person in NYC, to do my make up. I was very conscious that I didn’t want to be made up to look too unnatural (as I wanted to be “me” on my wedding day!!!), I don’t usually wear a lot, so I wanted someone who would listen to me but also make me feel at ease. I found her!!! Shara listened to me, understood what I was looking for (with regards to style to match my dress) and made me feel completely comfortable and relaxed in her company. Her studio is gorgeous and she is a beautiful person outside and in!, not snooty at all, very down to earth and really good fun. She helped me make my wedding day as perfect as it was!! If you need your make up done…..Go to her!
Pros: Everything
Cons: She's in NYC and I'm in the UK......sniff!
