They do everything right. Do yourself a favor and order yourself a (drink) limonada, the (starter) chicken tinga picaditas, and either the (entree) bistec soft tacos or the stuffed poblano chiles rellenos, which has a sauce that defies words. Eclipse has been around a few years and they're at the very top of their game - fresh ingredients, super tidy and bright dining area, great backyard patio in the warm months. Also great deals on beers, too. Get there!
Great vegetarian food in Sunset Park!. You can't tell by looking at the restaurant's website, but this place has a separate vegetarian menu. On a recent visit. I got a huge tofu and guacamole burrito and my husband got three kinds of veg tacos. We both loved our food, and our bill was under $20.
Best Restaurant In Sunset Park, Hands Down. I live in Sunset Park and go to Eclipse with my friends and family regularly. It's a great place where you can relax and enjoy the food and each others' company. They have a fantastic menu, trendy decor, rock-bottom prices, great service, and - if you want to order in - free delivery. They also have a website at eclipsebrooklyn dot com where you can download their delivery menu and get directions. It's great, check it out if you haven't yet done so.
Diamond in the Rough.
Eclipse has become my favorite restaurant in the area for its wonderful Pico de Gallo, delightful Guacamole, low prices, great vegetarian menu and a friendly wait staff who remember you even after one visit. Every friend who comes to visit me in Brooklyn shares a meal with me at Eclipse and always to eye-rolling raves of delight. They have outdoor seating in the back yard, which could use a little decorating, but is otherwise comfortable.
I recommend the vegetarian tacos - one each of guacamole, black bean, and tofu with enchilada sauce. Real good. I'm going to head there right now in fact.
AMAZING SUNSET PARK GEM. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this place in Sunset Park of all places - the decor is bright and absolutely charming (you have to see the incredible tin ceiling and the outdoor seating!). But to my amazement, I was even more impressed by the delicious, authentic Mexican food, the inventive Mexican/American fusion dishes, incredible brunches on the weekends (awesome blueberry pancakes!!!), a large vegetarian menu, a good variety of beers and wine, and Jazz music every two weeks (Friday nights) (Yes, believe it or not, the gem is located right in SUNSET PARK!!!).
