I went here for a brunch on Sunday. The fried chicken and lemon waffle were delicious. The service was friendly and helpful. The coffee was great. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty, quiet brunch.

Brown Betty's is my one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. Period.

Cynthia (the owner) has become one of my absolute favorite people in this neighborhood. After moving to Brooklyn from the Bronx, I thought I would never find the same sort of hospitality and "home" feel like I had in my favorite eateries up town. I threw my boyfriend's 30th birthday dinner here, and Cynthia closed down the entire venue for me! She even decorated it with his favorite colors and Trinidadian Beer! These are details that you simply cannot ask for, but that come from the sincerity of the people who run Brown Betty's. Jamal (the server) is also one of the coolest and most polite servers I've ever experienced in all NYC! Brown Betty's is home away from home...true comfort food with a chic twist and an incredible ambiance to match!
- Pros: Incredible food, spectacular ambiance, superb staff, great music & decor, easy location
- Cons: small (only seats about 15 ppl MAX) so get there earlly!
Best Brunch Ever

If you're looking for a small quiet place to enjoy a Sunday early afternoon this is definitely where you should go. The staff is so sweet, and friendly, and the brunch is AMAZING!
The apple chicken sausage here is the best I've ever had. It is very small so I would recommend making a reservation, but you'll never be disappointed when you come here.
