Editorial Review. Batdorf and Bronson roasted coffees made the right way as well as H&H bagels and pastries from Baked in Brooklyn.
Damn fine Espresso!. Amidst the still sparsely populated landscape of DUMBO, there lies the little coffee shop that could. Neatly and cleverly tucked under the stairwell of a massive converted warehouse, Coffee Box at Retreat serves up all those things I yearn for before 9am. Espresso, coffee and iced coffee made the way it's supposed to be made. Goods from Baked and H&H bagels keep my belly full and my grin big and wide. And let me tell you about their iced coffee--IT ROCKS BABY! And the staff are warm and fun, unlike those "other" joints where you have to learn a new language just to order a freakin cuppa specialty joe. I love that I can lounge upstairs ALL DAY if I want with access to FREE wi-fi! I can work and relax on a velvet sofa sipping espresso. How cool is that?! Looks like someone has finally injected some life into DUMBO. And not a moment too soon!…
Best coffee in Brooklyn. Seriously, this place has the best espresso around, and I love the chill vibe of the upstairs lounge...definitely worth checking out!
Best Iced Coffee I've Had.. perfect espresso bar with free wifi. it rocks! Also, upstairs is loungy with big couoches, etc. Nice hang-out.
