Editorial Review. Sunnyside coffeshop is community-minded in its menu--light healthy cafe fare--and its readings, open mic nights and band bookings.

friendly environment, but.... Vox pop is a nice place to hang out depending what time of the day it is. Weekend nights are crowded and they dont have adequate seating available. If you sit outside or on a bench, local thugs are very rowdy. The neighborhood still has a long way to go in terms of safety. The bathroom is dirty. The staff is polite but slow and not experienced in moving the line along in a speedy fashion. The beer on tap is good and priced fairly. Some performers are very talented, but this is just not enough to make the grade.

nice local hang out. cute hang out area, especially for students...they have wi-fi...never too busy, so there's always table space...nice beer selection and cheap...nice breakfast space....closes a bit too early (it's only downfall)....I come for the great coffee and peaceful reading space.
