“come on fort Greene you need affordable good sushi.”
Great sushi, not so great service. Literally the best sushi i've ever had. However, the service was awful two times I was there. The third time was with my Chinese roommate and her parents, who were able to speak with the servers (they were Chinese, as well), resulting in AMAZING service, and complimentary appetizers.
pretty good but bit pricey. come on fort Greene you need affordable good sushi.
The D is for Delicious. After a string of bad sushi experiences, we returned to Sushi D on a friday night and again were surprised by the quality of the food and the kindness of the help. The fish is top quality, prepared elegantly and the prix fixe menu is a great idea for a sushi place. We were a bit concerned for them because it seemed a bit empty for a friday night, but it started to fill in as we were leaving. If they keep their attention to quality and detail - as well as their prices reasonable - they should have no problem remaining the best sushi place in Forte Greene.
Excellent place!. Id like to say if you have any doubts about eatin in this place , do not even think twice ! I enjoyed this place very much everything from the food , service and ambience was at 100% . I would recommend this place for anyone in the mood for Sushi in the Fort Greene area .
Fresh sushi. Sushi D has a broad selection of sushi, sake, appetizers, soba, teriyaki & more. The creative sushi options are especialy nice! The service is good and you get hot towels upon being seated. The caterpillar roll is wonderul.
Subdued Fort Greene restaurant courts sushi seekers and noodle nuts..
In Short
Traditional sushi-house minimalism reigns at this Fort Greene restaurant with dark walls and plenty of space between tables. The dining room is quiet, as much of the business comes from delivery. Many of the neighborhood's sushi lovers have Sushi D on speed dial for creations like the spicy hamachi yellowtail garnished with cilantro and jalapeno. Sushi-phobes have plenty of choices, too, including the "D Mussels," served in a sake garlic sauce, and popular udon and tempura dishes.
