“loved the clothes and handbags, but the service.”
“They were just untrained, & unsure, and it was disconcerting for such an expensive shop.”
Brooklyn's BEST Boutique. Shop at The Little Red Boutique store located at 374 Lewis Ave. in the neighborhood of Stuyvesant Heights for women's stylish shoes, fashion boots and quality merchandise. The Little Red Boutique reflects the latest in styles for women's apparel and sells brand name fashion designer clothing and other accessories, such as beauty products, jewelry, shoes, boots, dresses, women's fragrances and much more.
Nice threads but be prepared to pay. This store is nondescript and quaint, with just a simple awning to alert you to its presence. You must be buzzed in, a common (and disturbing) trend in this area. A small space, they've managed to tastefully cram everything from meyers soap to shoes. (They sell women's clothes - sweaters, dresses, purses, etc) The wares are upscale and generally only a few of each piece, so you dont have to worry about the entire neighborhood dressing like you! lol. BUT. The prices. For this area, I was shocked at the tags. $400 is a bit much for a wool coat, I dont care who's name is inside. Everything in the store seemed to be $100 and up. So know before you go, this is not your neighborhood vintage shop. I loved the clothes and handbags, but the service. BOO. Its why I say 3 stars instead of 4. They don't seem to know their market, so fyi Red Boutique, when you are catering to a discerning customer, they expect certain treatment. I'm a little old fashioned, and when I'm about to shell out $20 for a few oz. of hand cream or $200 on a pocketbook, I want you to at least greet me when I enter the store. Smile at me tell me have a nice day. There were two sales women, who vascillated between trying to show me everything without trying to find out what I was shopping for, and complete boredom/ignoring me. For it being an out of the way shop you need to be a little happier when you see your customers! They were just untrained, & unsure, and it was disconcerting for such an expensive shop. I definitely spent way less money due to the service. Either way, the clothes were beautiful and I recommend going if you're ever in the area.
