best indian in the area. after being consistently disappointed by the choices of Indian food in brooklyn, i am so glad to have found this place. i've ordered take out only, and when i picked it up i found the dine-in area to be a bit too cold and dreary. but the food was good. the best part is the 13 dollar combo that includes rice, naan, appetizer and entree, a very good value and a huge amount of food. two can easily eat from ordering one combo. another attractive feature is that all the vegetarian dishes can be ordered as sides for a lower price, so if you want some veggies with your dinner it won't drive up the bill as if you had ordered a whole extra entree, which is usually what happens at Indian places. The chicken tikka masala was good, not overly seasoned. the samosas were huge and crispy (though they have a little too much potato) and the saag panir was excellent as well. food was fresh and not too heavy or greasy.

Can't do a whole lot better than this.... I've never been inside, but order takeout/delivery from Kinara at least once a week, and have never had a negative experience.

Kinara has the fastest delivery times of any restaurant in Park Slope, and a great, cheap takeout/delivery menu: $13.00 (incl. tax) for your choice of one appetizer and one entree, plus naan, chutneys and raita. The chicken tikka masala is consistently good, and a bit less sweet than in many other places (which i like). Samosas are great, and come topped with chickpeas and cilantro/tamarind chutneys; only problem with this is the inevitable sogginess that comes when you don't eat them immediately. The sweet and sour eggplant is okay - basically battered and fried eggplant slices topped with tamarind chutney. Seeth kebab appetizer (minced lamb) is extra tasty. Most other dishes are just what you would expect, taste fresh and are well-prepared. Staff - delivery and on the phone - are always polite and efficient. You absolutely can't beat it for the price and convenience.

good take-out and friendly service. though you could also eat in, we've have only ordered take out from them and enjoy the saag paneer and dum almoo. Samosas are mediocre, though.
