great middle eastern cuisine, delicsious lamb!. great lamb, and im usually not a big fan of lamb. seasoned and cooked very well not too dry but nice and crispy.
wonderful food in lowkey environment. My boyfriend and I have been there numerous times. They make a wonderful vegetarian appetizer platter, lamb soup, chicken kebabs, rice stew with squash, lamb chops, stewed okra and bread. The waitstaff often seem a bit discombobulated but friendly and polite. The decor is nothing to write home about, but the ambience is relaxed and is a welcome break from pretentious & overpriced Manhattan venues. All in all, I would recommend this restaurant.
Saltiest Food on the Planet. This restaurant had the saltiest food I've ever been served, ever. My partner and I ordered different dishes (beef with eggplant over rice and a Yemeni dish of dumplings served in meat gravy), and we both received food too salty to eat. After two bites, we put our forks down and left. I truly regret paying my bill.
