I agree! Wonderful Dining Experience!. We have been going to Osaka, previously, for sushi (as a previous review also said) and the food there has gotten increasingly dissappointing. So we tried Ki, and are so glad we did! It's the best sushi in the area, by far. The ambiance is relaxing, warm, and inviting, the staff is attentive and friendly. I can never just order off the menu, and have to make all kinds of changes to the sushi rolls, and they got everything right. The miso soup is great, as is the edamame. The sushi was delicious, very flavorful, and fresh. We got a beer, soda, 6 rolls, soup, and edamame for about $45-$50! Can't wait to go back!

Best. Sushi. Ever.. The staff at Ki sushi know my name when I walk in the door because I come here so often. The ambience is romantic, comfortable and upscale yet the menu is affordable and the service is impeccable. I highly recommend the spicy tuna roll. I get it ever time I order from ki (which is about 3 times a week). The fish is fresh, the portions are decently sized and in my opinion, just as tasty as some of the fancy sushi places in the city. Every friend that I bring here finds themself back within a week. Ki sushi is a great addition to Smith St.

Great NY sushi...and it's in Bklyn, yey!!. OK - so I NEVER write reviews, but I felt compelled to about this joint...it rocks. I'm a bit of a sushi snob and I'm in love w/ this place. Yes-it is a little more $$ than your average brooklyn sushi joint, but rightfully so. The sushi is fresh and really delish... and beautiful presentation too! Anyone who enjoys sushi will love this place. Screw the Brooklyn/Manhattan standards...this place is just plain ole amaizing! Service can be a litle slow...but they're always packed. Staff is always super friendly.

BEST sushi, tranquil ambiance, excellent service, GREAT LUNCH VALUE!!. A co-worker (thank you, Elyse!!) once casually mentioned this place to me... ever since, I have been AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK! It has hands down THE BEST SUSHI. It is fresh, excellent flavors, soup AND salad for lunch... the wait staff is quite friendly and attentive. If you can get it, the corner (hidden) table is quite charming and romantic and hidden. The staff treat you well, either when alone or w/others. They don't usually take reservations for dinner, but you can often find room at the sushi bar.

I often find an excuse to go to Brooklyn to eat here... now I just find an excuse to eat here! Thank you, Ki Sushi!!

Fresh-as-a-daisy sushi flowers in cozy, chic Smith Street setting.. The Scene
The imposing stone facade looks more like a real estate office than a sushi joint, but, inside, warm greetings from the chefs and black-clad waitstaff set an inviting tone that parallels the interior. Candle-filled nooks in exposed brick walls and a bamboo water sculpture soothe local couples and fish fanatics lured from nearby neighborhoods. Gentle Japanese pop plays unobtrusively in the background.

The Food
Though chopsticks are run-of-the-mill balsa, everything else ranks well above your average Brooklyn sushi restaurant. Fish tastes like it jumped straight from the water onto plates: Yellowtail comes in four varieties, including a supple red-tipped striped jack, and creamy white freshwater eel dispels any notions of heaviness. Lightly breaded smoked trout cakes impress, as does the house roll, a dazzling combination of crab, tuna, salmon and yellowtail--all blinged-out with a smattering of gold flakes. Even a basic steak gets a boost from truffle-infused mashed potatoes.

Fabulous, Fresh Sushi!!. As avid restaurant goers - Ki is IT! The best sushi we have had in a very long time. Loyal Osaka eaters, I have to admit the quality and food was plummeting - and it is always the typical menu. We tried Cube 63 a few times but, they as well, were just so so.... Ki opened up and WOW - DELICIOUS. FRESH. and the rolls melt in your mouth. My favorite is the Spicy Girl and Dynamite Rolls - simply melt in your mouth. My FI loves sashimi and the peices wow - FOR THE FRESHEST SUSHI, a wonderful atmosphere and a great experience, Ki Sushi is IT! Trust me - you will LOVE it!!

Priced extremely reasonable!!
