Delicious Scallops. Went on a Friday evening before the crowds showed up and had an incredible meal. Scallops were perfectly sauteed and cooked to perfection. The monk fish wrapped in bacon was also fabulous, the bacon seemed almost a part of the monk fish - you can't tell where one begins and the other ends. We did not have room for dessert but ordered anyways, we ate it all!! Details are seriously their main focus, from the beautiful chandeliers to the ornate bar stools you're eyes would also have a feast.

All around excellent!!!. The decor is very cool, but in a not-so-obvious way. If you have an eye for detail, you will really appreciate the interior design of this place, especially the lighting fixtures and accessories.

The food was excellent. I got the pea soup, scallop appetizer, and past with veal ragout appetizer. All were divine.

I would definitely go back to this restaurant.

Worth the trip to the Southside.. Northside of Bedford beware....the Southside's got Dressler now. The food was very fresh and so good. We had a main meal of just apps. Noteworthy dishes are the artichoke salad, the raviolini with pea/fontina, and the onion rings. The presentation is lovely. Desserts were oh so good and different. Chocolate foam, peanut brittle, and peanut butter ice cream? Can't get better than that.

Great meal and ambiance!. Just had an amazing meal at Dressler last night with my husband, daughters and their friends. Since I love Dumonts, I was anxious to try this new spot. Had the beet salad which is amazing just as it is at Dumonts! Everyone loved their entrees...mine was the halibut which was delicious. Service was great and the restaurant is beautiful with great ironwork. Can't wait to have dinner there again! Jan from Maine

Manhattan Food without the Manhattan Prices and Scene. I took my friend here for her birthday dinner. From appetizers to dessert, we have to say we were very satisfied. All our plates were cleaned off.

I didn't have a single problem with the service like the other reviews, in fact, we were always having our water glasses refilled, I must have said "thank you" more times than I can recall ever saying before in a restaurant.

We went without reservations and got a table right away. I fear the day that Dressler becomes too popular and perhaps develops that overpriced, "snooty" attitude that Manhattan restaurants with lesser food seem to exude. I almost want to keep this place a secret but I think it already isn't, it's just that Manhattan monkeys can't be bothered to make the trip. They'd rather rub elbows in an overcrowded, overpriced, super-scene of stressed out beautiful people who wish everybody else was dead.

I liked the decor and the prices were appropriate. The only complaint would be that the sound inside is a bit loud, but that's it! I'll go again for another nice occasion!

Hooray?. I've been here 5 or 6 times, once for dinner, all other times for brunch. I love that this place is here. Its beautiful, hip & romantic, the drinks are killin' (sadly you can only have one because they're terribly expensive), and the food is out-of-sight!! Brunch is comforting with many deliciously updated standard favorites, and some interesting & yummy additions that are bound to be Dressler classics. Dinner is of course fantastic. The orange juice is too small for the asking price so you'd be better off without. Unfortunately, as with the other Dumont-owned places, the waitstaff is horrible and clueless, which places a mega-damper on your meal. Aside from that its honestly a great place to drop alot of dough, impress the parents or in-laws who don't 'get' your neighborhood, or a have a romantic or celebratory dinner.

Food is wonderful; service still lacking. My boyfriend and I are foodies, live in the neighborhood, and ate at Dressler last week (our 5th time). The food is wonderful, the wine list is solid, and the front door staff and bartenders could not be better. The wines by the glass are a little pricey but worth every dime. The wait staff, however, could still use a lesson or two and should be a lot more attentive. I recommend that the wait staff walk over to Baci & Abbracci on Grand Street and learn the meaning of excellent service. We would go to Dressler more often if the service matched the cuisine.

a perfect meal. went here last night with my parents for my bday...i've been to the other dumont places many times so dressler was high on my list of places to check out. from the friendly and attentive staff to the decor the place was great. but who cares what the place looks like if the food sucks....def not the case here. my mom ordered the butternut squash ravioli, my dad order the pork chop, and i had the monk loin. all 3 of us cleared our plates and were fully satisfied. my dad actually said "this might be the best pork chop i've ever had." thats a hard thing to accomplish b/c i'm sure my dad has eaten a lot of pork chops in his life. the desert was the apple tart with rum raisin ice cream....holy moly it was good. all in all the meal was pretty close to perfect. the only downfall was the cold rush of air anytime the door opened....they had a curtain to try and block the cold, but it was 15 degrees out so the curtain didnt do such a great job. go here, you will not be disapointed.

What the Burg Needs. For the person who hated this place and gave it an average review, I'm not sure how that can be: either you a) caught them on opening night, still working out the kinks; b) spend your time at the highest-rated restaurants in the world; c) work for a rival establishment. I'm betting on "C".

The bottom line: I am big Luger's fan and have been going there for 30 years. There are some great cheap and mid-level eats in Williamsburg - Dumont, Diner, Fornino, Brick Oven Pizza Gallery, Egg, etc. But getting to really solid, moderate to higher end fare, the Burg needs some help. Luger's is a staple. Aurora is a nice addition. And now Dressler. For my money, this is the finest of the bunch - I have been about 5 times and look forward to it each time. A very simple menu - with amazing appetizers (their salads are so simple and delicious) and a nice array of entrees. The one definite miss is the steak - just not that flavorful and questionable on matching the temperature that I ordered - and their desserts are very good, but just not that memorable.

Beyond that, I love this place. From decor to service to meal to wines to price, this is a terrific addition to a neighborhood that badly needs this flight of food.

Wow, Dressler Does Brunch!!!. I was walking by Dressler and noticed it was open, on a Sunday morning...finally a new nice place in the neighborhood for sunday brunch. The prices seem good, and food great as usual. I am a fan of Dressler, I have been in Williamsburg for almost 10 years now, and it is one of my new favorite spots. I can't wait to go back with friends for mimosa's, eggs, french toast and quiche! Thanks Dressler, for the beautiful and yummy place to grab brunch on Sunday mornings.
