This is a great place to get a massage. They have a diverse number of massage therapists that have different specialties and techniques. Each therapist is not created equal. I found the massage therapists will tell the client which therapist is better for their particular needs (ie. deep tissue). I found that the therapists will only talk to the client if the client initiates. I have not had experience with all the therapists there, but none of them were talkative unless I initiated the talking.

The waiting room is small, but functional. The various rooms are different from each other, but the common thread is the feeling of zen, and most of the time music is playing softly throughout the studio. The music depends on who is working.

Something weird just happened to me. About 20 minutes after my most recent appointment, I sneezed... and it didn't hurt! I haven't had a pain-free sneeze in about a decade.

Kevin was my massage therapist. He was so pleasant, skilled and most importantly listened very well to my needs. I walked in tense and stiff and walked out feeling relaxed, loose, and calmly energized.

I have been going to Body By Brooklyn Spa, Bathhouse & Lounge for over 13 years. I love Kevin as a therapist and a person. This is a fabulous practice and I would recommend them wholeheartedly. If you have a special issue, need the extra compassion, want to be seen as a whole person, this is the place to go.

Now that I've had a few sessions with Kevin, I can tell you that he's amazing! He does a great job of listening to what your needs are and making the massage fit those needs. He's especially good at getting those tricky knots in your back that you never even knew existed.

I've been back a few times now and see Kevin. He has been very helpful to me, mentally and physically -- as well as emotionally. I feel so relaxed and better almost seconds into settling in on the table.

Clean, quiet, friendly. I was there for a waxing (leg and bikini) and I'm really satisfied about the job they did. I tried many other waxing places in Brooklyn before, but this is definitely my favorite one, I will go back there to try other services soon.

Best spa day ever!. I went there with 8 other girls to celebrate my forty (something) birthday. It was absolutely the most amazing spa experience I've ever had. CRYSTAL!! There are no words to describe how good she is at what she does. From the initial contact with her over the phone, she was always on top of my wishes, then when we arrived she made sure everything ran smoothly.

The massage therapist that did the treatments for the girls, too many to mention but they were all top notch, professional, welcoming and knew exactly what everyone wanted. No one was disappointed!!

To the chef: Your hands have been blessed. The food was fresh, melted in our mouths and was probably one of the best brunch meals we've all had.

If I had to say one bad thing it was that we had to leave.

We would go back many times. I think that if I went there with my husband that he would enjoy it as well. It was elegant and fun at the same time.

CRYSTAL, I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH!!!

Pleasantly Surprised!. I visited Body By Brooklyn for a facial and was pleasantly surprised at how good the facial was and how soft my skin was after. The front desk was very friendly, and recommended I use the wet lounge before my facial to exfoliate my skin, - a good advice. The steam rooms all had cool décor: one all stone, one all wood, and the last one a combination of both.

My esthetician was very good, and she recommended some products for my combination type skin. They have a good variety of products and I got several face and body creams. Overall super relaxing!
