Brooklyn >Beehive Beauty Boutique
“The space is great, very cozy and hip without being pretentious.”
“booked the honey bee manicure with Bean (who also cuts my hair) and spent over an hour being completely spoiled by rich oils, scrubs, creams, and a hand massage.”
“The products she used were delicious, and by the end my skin felt renewed and wonderful.”
“The atmosphere is very cozy, and they carry a varied selection of skin-care products.”
“great place to relax and be treated like royalty”
“The staff is always very friendly and relaxed, but still professional and very talented.”
“This place is a far cry from the snooty attitude at some places, but no doubt more worth your money (AND when I scheduled the appointment, THEY let me know that I could get a Spa Week discount, I didn't have to ask -- also refreshing).”
nice staff, cute and cozy decor, but pedicure not impresive.
I liked the fact that the pedicures were given in metal tubs, rather than the mini spas since those tend to be bacteria breeding grounds. The friendly brunette doing my pedicure put lavender in the water for a nice, fresh scent, but my water was cold! Even though I asked her to add more hot water, it didn't do much and honestly, since her hands were in the water, she should have recognized how cold it was!
Beyond the cold water, she hardly did any scrubbing or cuticle clean up, and to top it off, the polish job was iffy at best. The sides of my toenails were left bare, while the polish was globbed on. I ended up going home and taking it all off.
I also felt like the girls were a bit pushy with the products. They asked me if I wanted to try mineral makeup, their lotions, etc etc. I like being able to go to salons and explore on my own, rather than having products pushed at me.
Great pedicure and manicure. Without the pretentiousness of an upscale spa, this cozy Williamsburg oasis for tired feet and hands is an excellent place to spend a weekend morning. The pedicure and manicure service is great. I love their all-natural scrubs. You can choose an essential oil to scent the massage cream. If you're looking for a pedicure that will leave you satisfied, consider trying the Beehive Spa.
Awesome pedi & great service. I had a really great experience! I had no idea that the Beehive had a beauty boutique and spa until i saw their review on citysearch. i'm so glad that they were able to fit me in so last minute for a pedicure. the service was great, and the ladies there so sweet. i would definitely recommend to my girlfriends, and also go back again. thanks beehive!
Fabulous. Awesome vibe & service! Better than anywhere in manhattan!! The Brazilian wax was awesome and was just as good as J Sisters, but close to home.
A home away from home. CUTE CUTE CUTE!!! This is my new favorite place to be. I have been going to the Beehive Solon for some time now and was informed that they have a spa, after telling my stylist that I had a wedding coming up and needed to get my nails done. So I gave them a call and they where so nice-!! the girl that was going to be doing my nails (Gina ) answered the phone and informed me of ALL the different types of manis and pedis. ( I opting to treat myself to the honeybee mani and padi ) and I have to tell you it was worth it. The massage went on forever, I got to pick my own oil for the massage, the rose scrub was amazing, and she was so nice. She talked to me and was joking with the receptionist, I felt like i was with my friends. Not like the "high maintenance" places you go to in the city where they treat you like another job/ inconvenience. I was so at ease, I cant wait to go back. I already made an appt. for my facial. And hope they get there masseuse soon. Ladies (and gentlemen) its worth it, great service and friendly smiles.
Best Wax. I have not had a more pleasant, professional, painless bikini wax than the one I had at Beehive Beauty anywhere in Brooklyn, or in Manhattan for that matter. Maybe I have been going to the wrong places, but after this experience I won't be looking any further. Aneta was so sweet and personable and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I specifically requested their stripless wax technique, something I had known from before to be less painful (for some reason this technique is hard to find in NYC). They remembered my request and had the wax ready to go when I got there. It barely hurt and left almost no redness. After my wax, Aneta sent me home with tons of samples of moisturizers and sunscreens for my upcoming vacation, and she also gave me a coupon for my next visit. Overall, the vibe there is low key, homey, friendly, and comfortable, but make no mistake - these ladies know what they are doing and they are professionals all the way. I'll be making Beehive my regular one-stop beauty shop, and recommend them HIGHLY to anyone looking for a clean, relatively pain-free wax. Ask for Aneta - she rocks! Also got my hair cut at their sister salon a few days ago, which also rocks. None better in Brooklyn for my money. Thanks Ladies!
Great Facial!. Hannah was great, super knowledgable and friendly. No attitude (I'm not the beauty primper type). One of the best I've had for my problem skin and 6 weeks later, it still feels great. I'm going back for sure. The space may not be the greatest, but they more than make up for it with the personalities and professionalism.
Great spa in Williamsburg. I've been to the spa three times now and each time I enjoy it more. Hannah and Nirvani are great. Hannah's facial was so relaxing and my skin came out glowing. Both Hannah and Nirvani's pedicures came out perfect (love the leg massage). Nirvani also does threading which I tried for the first time and I love it (my brows look amazing). The staff is attentive and really friendly.
Want a face that glows like it should after a facial? You've found your place..
I went to the Beehive Salon last weekend based on reviews from Citysearch and couldn't have been more pleased. I went with my sister in law for her birthday to get facials for both of us. I can honestly say it's one of the best I've ever received. The place and decor being as cute as it is is a bonus to the service at this place.
Annetta was very thorough, asking just the right amount of questions, giving me just enough information about the products she was using (but not by any means sales-pushy). She took her time on the facial, so I didn't feel rushed. When my sister-in-law walked out, her face was glowing (seriously) and I am sure mine was, too!
I'm glad I decided on the Beehive for her birthday present, it was worth every penny. This place is a far cry from the snooty attitude at some places, but no doubt more worth your money (AND when I scheduled the appointment, THEY let me know that I could get a Spa Week discount, I didn't have to ask -- also refreshing).
Highly recommended... Next up is a manicure from Nirvani, who I met and am sure gives a killer mani-pedi. Coincidentally she also receives great reviews here!
Your money's worth and then some.
The space is great, very cozy and hip without being pretentious. The staff is always very friendly and relaxed, but still professional and very talented. You get to choose your own scented oils and homemade scrubs for the treatment, so you can mix and match as you please. Both times I've been in the treatments have lasted longer than the menu promises by quite a bit - FANTASTIC!
Special Note: Nirvani gives an AMAZING foot/leg and hand/arm massage, not the wimpy little strokes I've gotten other places. If you're aching, request her!
