dumont meatloaf. This place is a far cry from a burger joint. Any place that has to add to the meat is nothing quality. Everyone talks about this place like its something great but its the location not the food or service. If you really want a great burger walk to williamsburger now that's a real burger joint.

new chef....bad for good food. I recently went to dumont and like always ordered the chickpea burger with the tzatziki and what a huge dissapointment. I was told by the waitress when I called back to ask if they had changed chefs and she said yes and also metioned that I wasn't the first person to place such a complaint and she asked me if I wanted the owner to call me back to ask me what was wrong....still waiting...Way to follow thru!!

Best cheap burger in town. Great flavor, so affordable, and you don't have to wait 20 minutes for a table like over at Diner. Burgers tend to arrive more well-done than I request, but it's still incredible. A million times better than Anytime, food arrives fresh, hot, and fries are crisp.

Another Reason Why Williamsburg is Overpriced and Overhyped. I am not a foodie but I know a good burger. Paul's Da Burger Joint in Manhattan, Jackson Hole in Queens, Shake Shack in Gramercy Park, Corner Bistro in the Village, all qualify as being a good place for grabbing a really good burger. Today, I tried DuMont Burger and I was not just dissatisfied, but just plain mad.

I think a $15 dollar cheeseburger should be big, tasty, well seasoned and something to talk positive about. Not the case with Dumont Burger. I ordered a medium well cheeseburger with french fries, that's all. When I got my order, I found the burger was small compared to others I have eaten, it came well done instead of what I ordered, in fact a little burnt, and had wilted lettuce on the side for toppings. Now to be fair, the french fries were very good, and the pickles were sweet but tangy, but that was it.

DuMont Burger is just another establishment in Williamsburg where the food is overpriced for what you get and not that good at all.

If you simply must stay in Brooklyn for a burger, try Five Guys Burgers and Fries. I personally suggest Paul's for just the burger and go a couple of doors down to the Belgium fries spot (Pommes Frites) for some fries and your choice of dipping sauces. Trust me, you come out better with money in your pocket and a better choice of a burger and fries here than at DuMont Burger.
