leave feeling like a new hipster. the only skincare place worth visiting in williamsburg, this bright and charming boite has something for everyone..creams. lotions, salves, candles, cards, scents, and best of all, an extensive men's skincare section, enough to keep any man about town refeshed and ready for all that new york city has to offer. the owner, katie, is fresh and bubbly and can solve any problem; skin, lovelife, whatever...you owe it to yourself to stop in and check check check it out..and wash your hair while your at it, ya dirty hipster.

Best Product Store. Period.. Miomia is a unique, saavy, gem of a shop. Owner Katie Chang has done an amazing job of hand-picking the highest quality and hardest to find products on the market. Go for Julie Hewitt's sheer lipsticks, french fragrance company Histoires de Parfums and to stock up on staples from Mario Badescu, Malin and Goetz and haircare line, Prawduct. They also carry the brand Menscience whose Microfine Scrub is truly life changing! Other must-haves include gorgeous body care from Kima Terramare, particularly the Olive Soap (tip: this is great for shaving too!) and the Bergamot Sage lotion. I love anything with bergamot and this one smells fresh yet sophisticated. A big part of Miomia's appeal beside its smart selection of independently owned grooming products is its relaxed and non-threatening environment. (No pushy salesgirls here!) Chang knows the industry backwards and forwards and tests everything in the store personally so you're able to get a spot-on recommendation if you need a little guidance. Miomia is also a great place for last minute gifts as they have cute cards, candles and gift certificates available. Go now!

Great Products and Services!. MioMia has become one of my favorite stores in Williamsburg. I was always nervous about buying skincare products because I didn't know what would work with my skin type. Katie, the owner, was super helpful and friendly. More importantly, she wasn't pushy which I really appreciated. She also has great candles, hair products, makeup and fun greetings cards. I highly recommend this place for yourself, as well as for, fun gifts for friends.

The pickiest of project junkies are thrilled by this unisex beauty boutique, which stocks more than two-dozen product lines. Displayed on modular shelves in the all-white shop with citrusy colorful accents, the goods read like a beauty insider's wish list: New York-based Malin+Goetz and McBride Beauty essentials, as well as lesser-known and independent hair, skin-care and cosmetics lines. Plus, everything comes personally recommended--owner Katie Chang tests all the lotions and potions before they hit her store.

A reason to go to Brooklyn. Owner Katie Chang has a marvelous collection of skincare products that you wont just find anywhere. As a Manhattanite, I almost never venture out to Brooklyn, but Mirror Mirror gives me reason to cross the Williamsburg Bridge over and over again. This shop is a beauty junkies dream with such unique finds like Kima Terramares olive creme body soap that thoroughly cleanses without drying the skin. Its made completely out of olives! Some of my other favorites include: Ole Henriksens new beginning scrub gentle enough for daily use and leaves your face feeling so refreshed. Anything in the Prawduct line. Malin + Goetzs eye moisturizer for those who dont need anything heavy duty just yet; it absorbs into the skin right away. A trip to the shop is well worth it as Katies a tremendous resource for providing you the right skin treatment to keep you looking fabulous.

Glam and Supports Independent Businesses!. A recent visit to Brooklyn afforded me the opportunity to discover the most delicious new beauty spot around. Although a confirmed product junkie, mirrormirror has the most eclectic collection of independently owned beauty products. It's a perfect haven for the beauty maverick; a secret garden of sumptous temptations.
