The Scene – Stonework walls, tree-stump lounge tables and a local artist's lighting fixtures (in the shape of antlers) merge elements of trucker-hat sensibility and apres-ski style at this Williamsburg corner spot. The bar area, with a couple of shag-rugged nooks, makes the room comfortable for a drink, but most of the young guests come for a rib-sticking meal. – – The Food – Unconventional appetizers include the apple and cheddar fritters, which are pleasantly sweet but missing a certain sharpness, and a chicory salad with sauteed greens. terrible meal

Cute restaurant and wait staff but AVOID THIS PLACE! The food is repulsive. Onion rings that have a nutmeg in the batter and served with a huge bowl of mayo w/blue cheese chunks. Hands down the most disgusting food I have ever had. Like giant onion donuts sprinkled with nutmeg. There was a charred trout that tasted like licking a dirty outdoor grill. It arrived at the table black as coal and had a terrible after taste. There was a mushy bland chicken smothered in mushroom sauce. A pungent beet salad with salmon that tasted like a salt lick. It was a memorable meal because it was so terrible. Cute bar but I couldn't go back after the catastrophe of a meal.
- Pros: cute space
- Cons: repulsive food
decent place for afternoon drinks

a ski lodge ambiance but better when it's warm outside.
- Pros: home sweet home: bourbon, amaretto, lemonade and mint
- Cons: they only play CERTAIN blues traveler records
menu is promising but food and service ...eh
by DanielYang07 at Citysearch
its great to see country fried steak and ny strip on the menu, but when you actually eat it, you know that you've had better, much better.
plus the service, unfortunately like many restaurants in williamsburg that employ flaky people, leaves something to be desired. don't EVER ask for attention beyond the norm, you will be disappointed.
- Pros: unique menu for williamsburg
- Cons: fluff, no substance
