Bogota Latin Bistro Girls night out.. Ladies night out, it was worth the wait. The mojitos are great and the food is good, great music to sit with the girls and drink and talk. Had a great experience, will go again. It's a must.
Misleading and a rip-off. While the food is great, the service is extremely lacking. Drinks are super over priced, $12 for watermelon mojito with nothing too special of a rum? Highway robbery! I can't believe that an establishment that is busy and very popular gets away pouring almost well rum in their $12 mojitos. Especially when the wed all night happy hours fruit mojitos are supposed to be $6! Apparently watermelon is not a fruit. Well I suppose there's a sucker born every minute. Don't ask the manager though, he gave us a snide and careless response to why watermelon is apparently not classified as a fruit. Make sure you read the menu closely because there is a load of stuff to read and it is very misleading. Aside from mediocre and expensive drinks the food is good, ropa vieja, AWESOME! Empanadas are great too, lots of different filings to choose from and they do corn and wheat empanadas! Took a really long time to get the food though and on a wed. night, maybe things were off; the service staff at least was trying to be good at their job (with the exception of the manager). Go there but if you feel indifferent especially after talking to the management don't be surprised.…
RAT INFESTED. I used to love going to this restaurant, until a few nights ago when I saw a 6-7 inch RAT not mouse but yes a street/train-like RAT creeping by our table after we finished dinner, I could not believe my eyes. I addressed the issue to the owner discreetly and told him to cancel the order I had placed to go because i was sick to my stomach from what I had seen. Instead of apologizing he insulted me by saying "So you are trying to say my kitchen is s*$t?" Completely offended at this point, I started to raise my voice and he then apologizes but continues to say and I quote, " I took it personal because I am passionate about my restaurant and you cannot associate a rodent you see with the kitchen because the kitchen is downstairs". He continued on and blamed the neighboring restaurants for being dirty and how this is "A CONSTANT BATTLE HE GOES THROUGH", so apparently he is aware of RATS in his restaurant and has not taken care of the issue. *BARF* It's a shame because I was a frequent customer but NEVER AGAIN!!! STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU ENJOY RAT URINE OR RAT DROPPINGS IN YOUR FOOD!!!!…
Real Colombian Food. Try the ajiaco, you will never have anything like that in another restaurant. This is true colombian food, and that is pretty unique!
amazing food. The food is great, but the portions can be small and pricey. It's the only place I know of nearby to get an obleja, though. So yummy! Really great empanadas, too.
