Great for intimate meals. The atmosphere and decor here are amazing. If only the food and service could match that quality. Despite that, this is still a good place to bring a date, but can be a bit cramped for larger groups.

NOT A PLACE FOR A WEDDING. ALTHOUGH THIS MAY BE AN ACCEPTABLE EATERY THEY ARE CLUELESS AS TO CATERING. AT A WEDDING ON 11/26 FOR OVER 100 PEOPLE THEY HAD 1 SURLY BARTENDER. NOT A SMILE WAS TO BE FOUND BY ANY SERVER. THE DJ WAS CLUELESS. HE PLAYED LOUD MUSIC DURING THE CEREMONY. THEY RAN OUT OF ENTREES. THEY RAN OUT OF COFFEE. THE RESTROOMS WERE DIRTY. YOUR SHOES STUCK TO THE FLOOR AROUND THE BAR. THE PORTIONS WERE SMALL AND CAME OUT LATE. BREAD FOR THE TABLE HAD TO BE REQUESTED.I AM SURE THE BRIDE AND GROOM OVERPAID .I RATE IT ZERO STARS...AS A MUSICIAN I HAVE PLAYED THOUSANDS OF WEDDINGS IN HOMES , CATERING HALLS, PARKS AND RESTAURANTS. I WILL REMEMBER THIS PLACE AS BEING THE MOST AMATEURISH ATTEMPT I HAVE EVER SEEN.

I agree with MikeJames54. I was back to read the reviews on this place hopping to read something good, the reason is because still after 3 or 4 years (may be more) I remember eating here some of the best plates in my life; Mussels, lamb chops, flank steak and a long list of others dishes with some of the best soups that you can find in New York. In response to MikeJames54 I have to say that the service was never good in this place but at one point the food was really great, and that is the reason why you can see most of the old 5 starts comments, I believe that the recent good comments are now been made by management or some other people with a very poor palate, I

Do Not Go Here, Unless You're a Sadist. I can't even believe the positive reviews I'm seeing on City Search right now. This must be the result of some PR firm that specializes in promoting restaurants or something, because this place was a disaster in every way shape and form.

We booked a table for 6:00 PM which wasn’t honored until well after 7:30. We had a large party, 15 people. Restaurants normally take this into consideration and have a table ready or perhaps look in the appointment book and realize that they couldn't possibly accommodate a party of that size at that particular time. In the restaurant game this is called "taking a reservation." You do that so people aren't standing in the middle of your establishment for an hour and half wondering what the story is. Due to the extraordinary wait the owner comped us a round of shots, which would have been great if any of the members of our party were from a fraternity. Nothing goes better with a watered-down Ketel One Martini quite like a lemon flavored shooter made by a 17-year-old lethargic bartender. 45 minutes later, half the shots were still on the bar, accompanied by our grumbling stomachs.

Off to dinner. 95 minutes after we arrived we were finally treated to some bread and water. I'm pretty sure you can get both of these items faster in Guantanamo Bay. The waitress was rude, forgetful, and completely averse to taking any kind of drink order. My guess: since gratuity is included with the bill her level of involvement, either physical or emotional, wouldn't affect the overall outcome of her tip. (My Moon tacks on a very generous 20% gratuity to all bills.)

The wait staff rushed through the ordering process, which gave many of us the false impression that the meals would come out quickly. The "food" took well over an hour to come out from the kitchen. When it finally did come, it was cold, tasteless and in almost half the instances the exact opposite of what the guest had ordered. The waitress was even ruder when asked to reheat several of the meals, which were somehow cooler than room temperature. Several of the people at the table, such as myself, decided to simply eat as is, because the wait for hot food would no doubt take us well into the next afternoon, if it even came at all. In one instance a twenty year vegetarian was given a pork chop, which the waitress insisted that she ordered.

Dessert. I didn't order any or even look at a menu, it was close to 11PM on a Sunday and I was disappointed in the food, drinks and the service. I decided to chalk the whole experience up to a very pricey loss. My friend ordered a coffee; she's a glutton for punishment and probably grew up in a house where domestic violence was a regular occurrence, so maybe she was homesick after her experiences at My Moon. Of course, twenty minutes later she received a lukewarm cappuccino, which she promptly sent back, once she could actually get the attention of a waiter, which at that point of the night was a small miracle.

The Bill. 20% gratuity off a $720 tab is $144.00. Roughly translated, our waitress got $28.00 for every order she took correctly OR $14.40 for every order she took incorrectly; depending on how you look at life.

In closing, do not ever go here. Yes, the décor is lovely, but it’s not lovely enough to justify the mental assault of the chef and staff.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. I am confident that good reviews are coming from the company management as this restaurant, is by far, probably one of the WORST I have ever been to. And I am the kind of person who can handle most things and even can overlook a lot of deficiencies.

I ordered only an entree, and the waiter recommended the steak or the Lamb Chops because they were "fresh". Such strong recommendation always has me question whether it is a true recommendation or they have to move that product quickly. I had a hunch not to believe him but I ordered the chops anyway.

The biggest shock was their size. I have eaten at some fancy places, such as WD40 were the price to size ratio is extremely high, but nothing like this. My lamb chops were almost NON-EXISTENT. I was almost a joke, as if the kitchen staff cut off the meat, ate it for lunch, and served the rest of the bones to me as an entree. To make matters worse, there were NO sides that the bones (yes about 5% of the weight was attributed to the actual meat) came with, so I had to order a side of mushrooms, which shocked me again. It was literally 4 little mushrooms on a plate for $9.

COMPLETE RIP OFF.
