Great selections. Store has lots to choose from but I did expect it to be a bit warmer and friendlier. Found what I wanted and more and will definitely return but don't expect warm and fuzzy.

best yarn store in brooklyn. while brooklyn general is a bit off the beaten path, it's well worth a trip. it has a wide variety of yarns in the most fabulous colors, a large selection of books (including Elizabeth Zimmerman) and fabrics to die for. For an urban yarn shop its size is awe-inspiring, yet cozy. They've got plenty of room to sit and knit!

I am surprised to read about inattentive staff since I have always been impressed with the responses I get to my questions. It looks like the reviews were written around the time of their move last year--i hope those who have hesitated will give this store a second chance.

not a good experience. I had worst experience here. As someone mentioned, person at the cashier was talking with her friend and I waited for more than 15 minutes. And I asked about their knitting class and no one could answer when they have next class available.

Terrible customer service. I was excited to check out this new yarn shop in Red Hook, but was very disappointed when 1. I was not greeted when I entered the customerless shop and 2. I was made to wait more than 10 minutes at the register to make my purchase as the single store clerk chatted with the only other customer in the shop. I was never acknowledged by the clerk so I ended up leaving without buying over $50 worth of merchandise. I would never recommend this shop.
