Homey Greenpoint record shop serves up edible treats along with cool tunes..
In Short
A friendly cafe with a leafy outdoor garden and a cramped record store with crate after crate of rare vinyl? Yes, this small Greenpoint cafe/record shop has everything its caffeinated, obscure music-listening patrons could ever need. Weathered hardwood floors, art-adorned walls and the constant clicking of laptop keys gives the space a warm, comfortable feeling. The records skew towards old-school and obscure rock from bands like MDC, Sonic Youth and Fly Ashtray, while the cafe serves up espresso drinks, tea, sandwiches, pastries and brunch on weekends, along with free Wi-Fi.
Hits: Music nerds can count on a knowledgeable staff, while those without an encyclopedic knowledge of rock can still enjoy the free Wi-Fi and outdoor patio.
Misses: The shop's narrow interior means you might have to squeeze by browsing record buyers to order your espresso.
