“If you just want to have a simple drink and nice atmosphere, then you are in the right spot.”
“I'd recommend the chorizo plate and beer to anyone as part of a Bridge excursion.”
“Now, I was part of a big group and the appetizers we ordered was fine, (sushi boat, little sausages, salad) but when the food came out, both paella dishes were undercooked, my food (steak) did not even show up.”
“think many people gave this restaurant a poor rating because they hadn't seen the new renovated decor, tried the new menu or experience the great staff.”
“This unknown place is great, I don t know why this place is not known but it works for me.”

Still Good. I am surprise about the last review. I live on Washington Street and I enjoy having dinner in Toro. Since it's opening the menu has changed but the food has always been good. For Dumbo this place is a gem. I can only say, I have had great service and all my meals have been great. I will still go to Toro and maybe book my christmas party there this year.
Unfortunately I Gave Toro A Second Chance.
I ate at Toro for the first time in December and was not impressed. The service was awful and the food was so-so. My friends wanted to try it so I decided to give it a second chance. I should have went with my first impression. Not only was the second time around bad, it was worse than the first time I ate there. I ordered the Lemon Grass Jumbo Shrimp as an appetizer and shared the Paella as an entree with my boyfriend. The rice was overcooked and sticky and the fish tasted "fishy", usually meaning that it is bad. When we told our server about the food we were greeted with a snide remark and alot of attitude.
I read through some of the reviews on here to see if anyone else had similar experieinces and was surprised to see some of the positive reviews. What really caught me by surprise was the own written by the owner of Toro (see review authored by Mars2011). You know something is up when an owner has to write their own review. Toro has seen the last of me.
Best New Place in BKLYN for now. This unknown place is great, I don t know why this place is not known but it works for me. The prices are low for this neighborhood, food, drinks were good and cheap. They had a party going on the on the third floor that looked like fun. So why not I crash it and joined in. The third floor has a full bar, dj, lights, Lcds and these huge windows looking out very nice. I found a friend of mine who works over at the court house near by. When I found out it was a party for the Fed's, I was shocked that they even knew how to party. Very nice, I will be back!
Very Romantic. The ambiance is great the food excellent....it's just a great place all together i took my boyfriend here for his birthday and he loved it...i recommend dinning upstairs to add a little more romance to your night
Gambas!!!!. We happen to enter this place because we didn t want to wait on line for Grimmaldi's pizza. My girlfriend and I order Mohito's, that were half price! After a few we said F--k the pizza and order gambas with the house salad. It was so good that we had to order some more. We had a great time and when I tell the girls about this place it may be the next lesbian licky hot spot.
Best Skirt steak ever. My X boyfriend brought me to this place to see if we can work things out. I was impressed with the place and it was 10 x better than the places he ever took me. We oder shrimp with garlic (that was awesome) then I had the shirt steak (that was the best ever). After a few drinks we sat there watching music video's till it got late. Well it was nice date but I will be back but without the X. Next time with my girlfriends, so thanks George for showing me this hot spot!
Best brooklyn bar i ever saw. This was great. It has 3 floors and they all have a different look and feel. My company just had there X-MAS party there, what a great time. I live in brooklyn and I didn t even know of this place. I will return with my girlfriends to eat and drink. The bar and music was hot . Thanks New World Mortgage!!!!!! You found a hot spot this year
Wonderful Party. I attended a private party Happy 30 Jenny/ Spanasia Ballroom. What a wonderful time we had. The ambiance was wonderful, food excellent, service superb. If you are in Brooklyn, it is well worth the trip to Dumbo for this gem of a restaurant.
SOMETHING NEW!!!. WAS THERE FRIDAY NIGHT, WHAT GREAT ASIAN WAITRESS! SHE WAS HOT AND HAD A GREAT TIME. THE FOOD WAS GOOD AND SOME TAPAS WITH SOME DRINKS WITH MY FRIENDS. WE HAD A GOOD TIME AND IT DIDN'T COST US THAT MUCH. FOR THE PLACE IT WAS CHEAP. WE THOUGHT WE WERE GOING TO SPEND MORE. YOU CANNOT BELIVE THE DECOR OFTHE PLACE, IT IS SOMETHING YOU WOULD SEE IN DISNEY EPCOT PAVILIONS, VERY NICE GOOD JOB! I WILL BE BACK
VERY NICE. My girlfriends and I were there on Saturday for the first time. We were impressed by the place. It was very nice and pleasent. They were playing jazz all the time we were there. The food excellant, had the Sushi and the Gambas (shrimp), fab!!!! I will be back with girls, hopefully they will have the 3rd floor open soon, it looks hot! This may be the next Hot spot to go to.....
