The Scene – From the enthusiastic greeting of "Bonjour!" at the door to the playful prints of French ladies dotting the walls, there's nothing shy about this bistro. Behind the curved marble bar lies the small dining room with striking red banquette seating. Service is friendly, if sometimes overeager. – – The Food – Heed this advice: the more French the dish, the better the experience. Forego the less-impressive crab cake pyramid in favor of snails in mushroom caps, generously bathed in garlic and parsley, or the savory oxtail terrine, which seduces with complex…
Great atmosphere and good food
by BKLYNeater
I went with my parents to dinner at Jolie and all three of us were impressed. They have a patio and garden that are open in the summer which are nice contrast to Atlantic Avenue. The food was good and reasonably priced. We were sitting toward the edge of the patio so it seemed like there were constantly servers running back and forth but this was only minorly annoying. Overall a good experience and a great neighborhood place.
- Pros: Atmosphere, food, price
- Cons: Too many servers running around
great, amazing food. annoying host

While the food is always excellent at Jolie, some of the staff have less to be desired. For instance, the host has a sort of chip on his shoulder and he's too busy flirting with the other staff then helping his clients. He "playfully" attempts to push wine on you so he gets a bigger tip (he can also be your waiter, even though he only takes your order) and if you order a cheese plate, you're on your own. He just slapped in on our table and walked off---good thing I know something about cheese, he on the other hand, knows noting about service.
- Pros: Great French food
- Cons: service
Just Wonderful..

Celebrated a friend birthday here and we had a wonderful time. Food was very good, servers were all attentive and knowlegeable. Couldn't ask for more. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
The Details on Jolie
Where to Sit:
Dine alfresco on the sizeable outdoor patio.
When to Go:
Among other offerings, find eggs Benedict and corned beef hash at brunch, served 11am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
What to Drink:
White wines are listed from fresh to aromatic and reds as light- to full-bodied. There's also a list of organics under the heading "Wine Not." Try the $24 bottle of Verget du Sud from Vaucluse; the pocketbook-friendly wine, with touches of spice and berry, holds up well to the rich fare.
