Bland. 2 stars because they are very nice. The blandest worst paella I have ever tasted but a good potato tortilla.

Best tapas, inviting environment. You walk into a vibe that feels welcoming. This is no Chanterelle, this is where you go to see familiar faces who enjoy delicious food, and establish yourself in an environment that could easily cater to a weekly visit: it's just that tasty and cozy here.

The food is comprable to what I've enjoyed during my lengthy trips to Spain, and so far as quality for price, everything is delivered to your table/bar seat very fresh, in grand portions, and with delicious flavors. Though the menu is not exactly low-calorie, it is healthy, just consider that this is Spanish food, and their traditional dishes are not 'delicate' they are instead heartier. The weekly specials have always been satisfying and very good, as are the consistant menu offerings.

Sit at the bar and have some sangria and tapas (the Alter Boys - dates wrapped in bacon, or the croquettas - typically from potato and jamon, or potato and cod, or the etc... I could go on and on). Or go to the back and sit down for a meal in an intimate and warm environment. You'll invariably hear someone laughing, and see smiling couples.

My one complaint; they need to update the bathrooms; these are clean, however there is some finess missing to the decor of them.

And finally I'll say that another draw is for the couple who own this spot; they are terrific, friendly, and give this place the charachter that comes across when you walk in.

Great location; when you leave you can stumble forward (post-sangria etc..) to fun at Floyd next door, or Sahadi's for shopping if it's earlier, stroll the promenade, etc..

I've been a fan since the opening 4 years ago, and there's a reason they get my money; it's a pleasure to have an evening at this spot and the value/time spent is satisfying.

Dream the Impossible Dream. You want to love this place because of the gracious couple that manages it and the friendly scene at the bar. Unfortunately, without flair or imagination, they reduce the riches of Spanish cooking to little more than the essentials of grease, garlic and salt. Have a drink, a snack, and then make like Don Quixote and continue your quest for good Spanish food somewhere else.

Wow!. This place is amazing! The food was absolutely delicious. We had paella valenciana (highly recommended) and the fish special which was a trout stuffed with seafood. The fish was so tender, flaky and delicate and the portions all around were very hearty. To top it off, the service was impeccable! Very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Add to all of this simple yet aesthetically pleasing decor & wonderful atmosphere, and you have a wonderful restaurant that's definitely worth the trip out to Brooklyn Heights.

Great food in Great area. This was one of the best Spanish resturants I've gone to, definetly the best in Brooklyn. The food was awesome and with fairly large portions. Glad I found this place in such a great area with lots of fun bars nearby.

Best Spanish food in Brooklyn. Didn't want to go in, but my boyfriend wanted to try it out. Having never had spanish food before I was pleasantly surprised. The flavors, the wonderful servers, the fun! My boyfriend said the food authentic and after our night at La Manch we tried several other spanish restaurants in NYC. No other spanish restaurant compares.

Don't miss it, great fun and great people!. This is the way a restaurant should be run. Great friendly service, they treat you like part of the family. The food is outstanding, try the altar boys! It is a great place to hang out at, even for a drink or two. I will eat here as much as I can.

Welcome respite. First rate service and food, sans pretention. Highly recommend this to any homesick Spaniards, or fans of this cuisine; I expect this will become a routine stop on my dining out agenda.
