Food is very good. Donald does not deliver on his party planning. While he sells the party he does not supervise it.
Tables did not have appetizers they were suppose to have when guests arrived. Everything was served too slow as he did not have enough help. Salad was lovely. Pasta was served cold. Slow service did not provide hearty portions -almost purposefully. Waitstaff tried their best. Coffee service was incomplete-no cap/exp as promised. When
I spoke up I was told to sit down.. Not nice

Fantastic handmade pasta and child friendly!
The service was impeccable! We have been greeted and asked how everything was at least 10 times from beginning to end. They instantly brought wiki sticks for my girls to play while seating us. Based on this fact, super recommended for all families!
Pear salad with goat cheese was lightly dressed and perfectly balanced.
Seafood calamari was lightly breaded and so crispy and fresh.
Mushroom pasta was flavorful and spicy seafood pasta was full of seafood.
They brought in complementary cauliflower soup at the beginning and lemon type liquor at the end.
They also have specials from 4 to 7 pm daily.
We didn't have to wait on a Friday night.

Love this place Romantic and Sweet. I had a wonderful dinner here with guests from out of town, from start to finish the meal was grand - the service was right on - and the atmosphere is lovely.
Great Brunch. Four of us went there for brunch yesterday and we all left happy. We order the Uova Benedette, Uova Fiorentina, Omelette with artichokes & sun dried tomatoes, and Uova al Salmone. The food was very fresh, especially the mixed green that was seved with the egg entrees. Mimosa was unlimited with brunch purchase and the waiters kept re-filling our glasses even after we were done with our food. My only complaint is that they put ice in the mimosa carafe to keep it cold. While the drink was cold but it got weak as the ice was melting. The staff was very friendly and they never rush us even though two of our friends didn't show up until 20 minutes after we were being seated. So glad that now I don't need to drive all the way to Manhattan to our usual spot, which was good but too crowded and noisy.
Overpriced and Underwhelming. We live in Park Slope. My sister had a baby shower there eight months ago. Loved it!! However, we never ate there on a "regular" (i.e. not a party occasion). Went AFTER restaurant week to avoid the prix fixe hoopla. We wanted to have the benefit of their re-vamped menu. The food was pedestrian and uninspired. A step up from the old Ital-American gravy joints. At least the NEW menu TRIES to be somewhat current, but comes of as just plain TIRED. Went with a group of 4, we all ordered differently to make sure things were tried...hmmm. We tasted and left most of the food untouched, surprised the waiter did not notice! Organic?! Fresh?! Well, I suppose canned goods can be kept "fresh" indefinitely. The decor looked like a Times Square "Tuscan Village" theme park, yuck. The place was barely seated (at 8:30 on Friday??). Won't be back.
Fabulous place for a party!. Scottadito is one of my favorite brunch places but very recently I held my sister's baby shower in their back room. I can't say enough about how wonderful it was. We had forty guests. We showed up and were completely taken care of by Katherine and the rest of the staff. All the guests were impressed with the quality and quantity of food and with the service; we practically had to kick people out the door at the end. The food was fresh and delicious and the servers were very attentive with the drinks. (The food was served family style so they graciously wrapped up the leftovers for us.) The back room was curtained off from the restaurant and it was bright and comfortable. Katherine said that they can hold up to sixty in the back room but we filled up the extra space with a mountain of baby shower gifts, so keep that in mind. The Fettucini al Funghi was amazing! Street parking was available up and down the adjacent streets but most of the guests parked in the garage next door.
The best place to have tiramisu in a martini glass.
i usually don't eat italian cuisine or have desserts...just b/c that's not my thing. but some friends recommended this restaurant so i thought, sure, why not, i am always up for trying new places....well, WOW. i loved it! first, the food - the pasta is made fresh and you can taste the difference - it's just lighter and doesn't have that weird, chewy consistency that other italian places have. the lamb stew was to die for - delicious, savory, made just right so the meat just melts in your mouth. ...then there was dessert - have you ever had tiramisu in a martini glass? well, you will have the BEST tiramisu EVER (served in a martini glass) at Scottadito. and this is coming from someone who doesn't have a sweet tooth and usually skips dessert.
wonderful cozy dining area hidden from the street and so once you get seated in there, you don't really hear the street noises and feel transported to a friendly, warm almost rural environment, thanks to the real-wood furniture. the staff was attentive, helpful and really just let you enjoy the meal and your conversations w/o too many interruptions. I noticed that they have bench seating so they can accommodate small and large parties very well. The high ceiling makes the room feel bigger and roomier than it is, which is a plus b/c i don't like to be tightly squeezed into my table and here, you have plenty of elbow room and privacy w/o being forced to listen to another conversation close by...and check out their wine cellar right downstairs -- very good selection of wine.

The lunch time fresh paninis have bold flavors that keep me coming back for more. Good portions at a great price and if you stop by for dinner be sure to try the fresh pastas, lamb specials, great wines and the elegant tiramisu "tini" style dessert.

My FAVORITE Italian restaurant - hands down.. There is no other place that even comes close to the food, service, and ambiance that this gem has to offer. Not only are the dishes very reasonably priced, but they are to die for! I was here for a party last New Years and have been a loyal customer ever since. Their party had every great Italian dish you can think of and even included caviar and champagne! Not only was the food spectacular, but it was extremely affordable. I will definitely be back this new years - LOVE this place!

I would like to thank the staff of Scottadito for a gracious evening last weekend! Having made arrangements to bring my party of 6 from the Brooklyn Museum of Art to another establishment on 7th (they know who they are) I made a call to Scottadito, where i was rescued via phone first by Diego, then by Katherine (who I later found out is the GM). Immedieately my party was whisked in to the back dining room and small plates from the Chef and wine guidence from Rachel (our server) helped to set the perfect tone for a beautiful evening. Thanks to the warm and genuine attentitiveness of the staff we were able to relax and enjoy as our dinner unfolded flawlessly.
Everything we sampled during the entire meal spoke of enthusiam and creativity. The starters, grilliata misto, the sfizzi, and even a simple focaccaia dipped in a roasted pepper sauce; were incredible examples of food served simply, honestly, and with care. The pasta (Orrechiette alle Verdura) which Katherine told me was made on the premises lived up to its origin, and the secondi--the scottodito lamb chops with blueberry risotto and (as a favor to my friend, with a side of veg), as well as, the Branzino with grapes and a Sambucca reduction, brought the evening to a high point.
The wine list was too sparse, but moderately priced. We ordered a Gavi and a well meaning Barbera, both were fine, however, would have preferred a winelist to match the robustness of food . The establishment definitely merits another visit (when less rushed). We did not have time to sample the dessert menu, but a simple espresso matched with a wonderful grappa - perfectly done, suggests a longer visit for a relaxed dinner with a few friends in a very warm, inviting environment.
