This is the essential sugar stop in Red Hook, and it's all about the Samoa bars, blondies, and Brooksters (brownie/cookie hybrid).

Red Hook-beloved bakery that features delicious lemon marshmallows, S'more bars and cakes.

The caramel salted cupcake is a delicate delight if you're in the mood to venture out, or in the Red Hook area. Go beyond their baked goods and explore the pantry items such as granola and popcorn!
Nice Place in Red Hook. After reading all the reviews from a while ago, finally we made a slight detour on our way back home to give it a try. There were not too many choices in terms of cakes and tarts but I assume it was because we got there an hour before their closing time. We asked for recommendation and decided to try the "Red Hook Red Hot" and "Sweet & Salty Tart". Oh mine! The Red Hook Red Hot was amazing. The cake was smooth and soft and the cream was light and with a hint of cinnamon. I am not a cream person and normally I scrape all off from cakes before eating... NOT THIS ONE. I enjoyed every single bite of it! The Sweet & Salty Tart was way too sweet for me since I am not a fan of caramel, however, my boyfriend LOVES it! This is a very nice little place to hang out at, without paying an arm and a leg like the cafes in Manhattan. We would definitely go back for more.
Just Fabulously Delicious. I am a lover of good food, good desserts. while visiting NY. I had the opportunity to find and stop in "Baked" It was just too good to be true. Just Fabulous. and im a cook from way back. What a cheerful atmosphere, and the desserts are aawwwww, to die for. Coffee tops it all off. I hope these new owners stick with this forever. I truly hope they go and grow, grow, grow. I am pulling for you. Wish there was something I could do to make all successful. Perhaps as the weather improves , they are going to reap the benefit of there very hard work and love of there wonderful idea of desserts and coffee shop. Go for it Guys and Gals. The sun always shines just after the Rain. Sincerely, Eileen of Lakewood Ohio
Expected more but would still return. I had been wanting to try out Baked for awhile but was unable to get there, so I decided to order some things from their website. I was especially interested in the Sweet and Salty Brownie (brownie with caramel and salt) because I love the way salt enhances the flavor of chocolate and especially because it said they use Fleur de Sel. The website was easy to use and the shipping was great (with tracking info). I was looking forward to the brownie all day, but when I tried it I was really disappointed. First and foremost, there was no saltiness...at all. Second, and less important, there was no noticable caramel. That I can somewhat understand because I know that often caramel can just kind of absorb into the brownie batter. I was just very diappointed by the low level of salt. That being said, it was a good brownie; it's just that it tasted like a plain ole fudge brownie. I also got the Chocolate Chip Cookies which are decently good. I'm a bit of an expert on choc. chip cookies (I get one from every bakery I go to), and they are definitely above average. They have a good flavor, good structure and an ok texture. While they aren't particularly unique in any way, they are a fine example of the classic chocolate chip cookie.
Truly Amazing.... Let me just say I have never liked scones...but yet, somehow, Baked is able to make something I dont like into an amazing treat. This place is excellent.
inventive treats and tasty classics!. The best cinnamon roll i've had outside a home kitchen, the standards (muffins, scone) are amazing and i would venture to guess that the cakes, inventive cookies, breads and bars are too! The brownie is the second best i've had (the first being from Sage American Kitchen). If you are in red hook and don't know what to do, go visit this place and have a decent cappacino with a satisfying treat. i've definately been around to A LOT of new york bakeries and this one by far has impressed me the most.
Sweet, Sweet, Sweet.
The baked goods are great. So's the coffee. The help is kind and responsive.
And most miraculously, there's nothing pretentious about the place.
Hail the Hook!
You can miss this one. You can miss this one and not miss a whole lot. This place is average. The spice cupcake was tasty but the frosting was poisonous.
Super duper delish. Thank goodness I don't live in red hook, because I would be here every day eating their delicious goodies. I think that they have some of the most delicious baked goods in the whole city. Well done!
Amazing. This was by far one of the best dates I've ever been on and I think everything played a part. The hostess was nice, my waitress was fabulous and the desserts were to die for. Great restaurant.
The Bomb. Tasted their "cake of the month" and it was among the best cakes I have tried. Very, very good. It was a chocolate cake with caramel frosting and bits of sea salt (I think). Nice combo. People were very friendly. If you are ever near Red Hook, go at once.
