“Cool and cozy local DUMBO bar, situated in part of an old warehouse.”
“Cool and cozy local DUMBO bar, situated in part of an old warehouse.”
“The people who hung out here seemed like a cool crowd and the ba.”
Citysearch Editorial Review. Inside Dumbo’s Grand Union Tea Company warehouse, this simple yet sophisticated neighborhood joint is where gallery executives mingle with local Brooklynites to discuss the buzz and happenings in the art world. Even though the bar caters to a culturally elite clientele, terracotta arches and warm wood accents give it a down-home Americana feel. When not hosting live acts, bartenders throw in classic rock music (like the Rolling Stones) at volume levels that encourage chatter among patrons.
A Hidden DUMBO Gem with Great Music!!. I am regular at 68 Jay Street Bar and find it consistently friendly, and gently-priced. The crowd is a mix of veteran DUMBO artists and neighborhood newcomers. They have recently started to have music more regularly (they have been a long-standing venue for music at the DUMBO Arts Festival and occasional shows). Will Scott's shows on Wednesday nights are a must see!! National roots music touring acts often come to perform as well. It is a treat to see them in such an intimate laid-back setting.
