WORST COMPANY IN THE WORLD. I HAD TO GIVE IT 1 STAR BECAUSE THE SYSTEM WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO GIVE IT LESS. NEVER, UNDER ANY CIRUMSTANCE DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THE OWNER, ISSACC GROSS WILL NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE PERSONALLY INVOLVE HIMSELF IN ANY CUSTOMER PROBLEM (NO DOUBT ON THE ADVICE OF HIS LAWYERS SINCE COURT IS THE ONLY LIKELY ROUTE TO RESOLVING ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS COMPANY) THEIR 100% SATISFACTION GRANTEE ULTIMATELY THEY ARE 100% SATISFIED WITH TAKING YOUR MONEY TO THE BANK AND THUMBING THEIR NOSE WHEN THE PRODUCT SHOWS UP 2 MONTHS LATE, DEFECTIVE ON ARRIVAL AND UNABLE TO PROVIDE THE REPAIR PARTS FOR ANOTHER 7 MONTHS
Didn't publish my negative review. I bought a range, dishwasher, and sink from them this summer. No problems at all with their prices, delivery or condition of the items. BUT they did not publish my negative review of one appliance, leading me to think they censor their reviews. This could explain why this particular appliance has an extremely high rating on their site when in reality it's a piece of junk that has probably been discontinued by the manufacturer or soon would be if honest reviews were available. I'm now stuck with it since my granite countertops are designed around it.
STAY FAAAR AWAY FROM THIS STORE!!!.
I wish I had read the reviews about this store before I made the mistake of purchasing from them. I was too busy reading reviews about the washer/dryer I was interested in that I didn't think to look up the store itself. I am writing this so no one makes the same mistake Ii made.
I purchased a Speed Queen stackable washer dryer and once it was installed and ran the first load of laundry, there was a loud tapping noise in the final spin cycle. I called the store who said I had to call Speed Queen. Speed Queen gave me the number for the third party warranty company.
The warranty company recommended an authorized repair service in my area.
The tech repair man who came was wonderful and very truthful, he told me he worked for the repair company for 37 years. He said the machine had bad ball bearings from the factory and his company does not even replace bad bearings because it is a difficult job and he said it would give me lots of problems in the future. He recommended that I contact the store to get the machine exchanged, it was a lemon. That's when the problems began.
The customer service people at AJ Madison keep juggling me around, no one would let me speak to the customer service supervisor, they kept promising me a call back and they never called back, I had to keep calling them. Then one evening they sent an email saying that Speed Queen said the repair was done and fixed!
Nothing had been done. The sales guy who seemed nice, said he'd transfer me to the supervisor, and we got disconnected. I gave him the benefit of the doubt that it could have been accidental, but when I called back, the customer service rep did the same thing!!
After the 3rd day, I just called American Express to intervene as I realized I was going no where fast with these people.
The issue is still not resolved, but at least the charge has been removed from my Am Ex card. I will report back when all is resolved. I hope Am Ex does the right thing, I think they will.
But stay away from AJ MADISON and spare yourself the grief in case you have an issue with the merchandise.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - AVOID THIS COMPANY. I would like to leave a comment regarding the sales representative that I was dealing with. He was helpful in obtaining my quote and great with follow up. However, he just called me to follow up and to inquire about the status of my order. Upon hearing that I decided to proceed with another vendor, he abruptly hung up on me without even hearing me out. I felt that it was very rude, disrespectful and unprofessional of him. I definitely made the right choice to not to purchase appliances from AJ Madison with sales representatives that conduct themselves so poorly with potential customers.
TERRIBLE Customer Service. Stay away from this company if possible!! You will be on hold for forever if you have something you need to sort out with customer service. Even when you get through to someone, they cannot care less about you!
One Pretty Ideal Experience To Add.
I purchased a maytag washer and dryer from AJ Madison about 6 weeks ago. They arrived in perfect condition and work fine. Worked with Victor, who was courteous and answered my questions about AJ Madison's really poor reviews.
I took a gamble and it paid off. We're very happy with how much we saved and the appliances work like they should, so no complaints.
I wish I read the review before I had anything to do with this company. Just as most of the reviews said, people in this company are rude, the customer services are POOR.
I was told that the stainless steel dishwasher ordered was not in stock, and I had to wait for a week for it to be ordered. But after the extra week of waiting, the dishwasher delivered to my home was still a wrong one (a black one)! Unfortunately, when the electrician installed the dishwasher, I was not home. I contacted the customer service immediately after I found out. Their first response made me relieved. They said they would ship out the right model and swap out the wrong one for me. Which may only takes a week.
After a week of waiting (without touching or using the model that’s installed), I called the customer service and surprisingly found out that they had changed the solution to just replacing the front door (saying that the two models are the same expect for the front door). I could not accept the deal because I don’t want a new appliance that has different parts assembled together. Emails ever get responded, and you can ever get hold of a person that can make the decision.
So, if you want to do business with this company, pray that nothing goes wrong. Otherwise, you are doomed. And with the attitude this company towards its customers, things very likely will go wrong
HORRIBLE- HORRIBLE Service. Think Twice!. We ordered about $5,000 worth of appliances to be delivered to our home. Our delivery window was scheduled from 5pm to 9pm. Unfortunately at 9pm, our help we had to help bring the items inside had to leave. At 9:06pm, 2 men showed up with our new range and fridge. Our house has an entry with 4 steps up the front porch. The men very rudely said they would not be carrying the items up the stairs unless we paid an additional delivery charge of $25 per item which had not been previously disclosed to us. We had a total of 5 items and of course questioned the charges over such few steps and the fact they were late and we had to send our help away because of this. The men were very rude and hostile doesn't begin to describe it. We felt extremely threatened standing in a dark front yard with two hostile men screaming at us. Because of this we decided that they could just leave the items in our garage that doesn't have any steps and isn't behind closed doors where we would be alone with the delivery men. Now we will also have to pay to have the items delivered inside our home by another company. After our past business of spending over $12,000 with this company and being pretty loyal, we have now decided that because of the two men and their hostility and rudeness that we will be taking our business elsewhere. We planned to spend about $10,000 on additional appliances in the course of the next few months with AJ Madison but not anymore. I would hope this was just a fluke from a couple of grumpy men that had a long work day, but after reading all of the other awful reviews posted across the web, from all over the country- I see that we are not alone. Please thank twice before placing an order for delivery with AJ Madison. I know the amount of our orders are minimal to the overall volume in sales this company sees so a loss of one customer is not going to make them frown, but please if you care about you and your family's safety- please think twice before allowing these men in your home! Hopefully AJ Madison will listen to their customers complaints and will soon make some changes.
DO NOT ORDER FROM AJ MADISON!!!. PLEASE, DO NOT ORDER FROM AJ MADISON!!! There is a reason they are able to keep their prices low. If you plan to place an order anyway, read their return policy, I think it says a lot about how they conduct business. Pay the extra couple hundred dollars to work with an organization that cares about customers!!! Please do not make the same mistake I did. Read the customer reviews. I assumed the majority of the reviews were negative because most satisfied customers don't take the time to comment. I WAS WRONG! Do not pay attention to reviews from Bizrate. They work for AJ Madison, NOT CUSTOMERS. I ordered a fridge on January 13th and received it yesterday (January 31st). I had problems with the shipping company and when I called AJ Madison, they were very rude. Since then, I've received my new fridge which has a large dent (4" wide) and the paint has been scratched in 6 separate and noticeable areas. I'm keeping my fridge and praying that nothing else goes wrong with it just to avoid having to do further business with them. I wish I would have done more research and avoided working with AJ Madison. Please, do not make the same mistake I (and many others) have. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR MONEY!!!
AVOID!!!!!!! DECEPTIVE. Others wrote this but I did not pay attention, like the other review, until I had a problem. The customer service is awful. Deceptive sales people. I spent 20K with this company and ended up losing $2500 because the sales person convinced me to buy a hood that would not work as advertised with my range/griddle. Then they wouldn't take it bad.
