Bait and Switch Alert!!! During the Black Friday sales, they offered a Samsung microwave model ME179KFETSR for $389 plus $99 shipping. I thought I might wait and see what happend on Cyber Monday. At 1:40 am, I received an email from AJ Madison for free shipping, site wide. I went to their site, did a seach on Samsung stainless microwaves and the result screen showed that model still at $389! I tried to order it and it came back another price of $539. I redid the seach and the search still showed $389. I called and spoke with Jacob. Seems SOMEONE forgot to update the Web site. They refused to sell it to me for $389, but instead offered it to me for $500. When filing complaints to the BBB and NYC Consumer Affairs, turns out AJ Madison is NOT a stranger. SHOP ELSEWHERE!!! Dishonest merchant!

attempted to return a unused air conditioning cover they suggested I purchase after selling me a $600 AC that didn't fit the dimensions I provided.

Please note that we do not accept back accessories. The following is a disclaimer from your website:
"We do not accept any returns on air conditioners, special order merchandise and accessories."
However, out of customer satisfaction, we will accept it back with a 30% restocking fee.If you still would like to return it, we will give you full credit when the item is received in the warehouse, excluding the shipping and less a 30% restocking fee.
Please make sure the box is in the original factory resellable condition, including all packaging materials, inserts and manuals, and all accessories. All these items are subject to our inspection.
Please choose a FREIGHT company, since shipping back would be your responsibility. Please do not ship it back via USPS. Just please make sure to insure the unit for its full value, in case of loss or damage. If the unit arrives to the warehouse damaged, it will be refused upon delivery. This is all despite the fact that I live in the area and could have easily dropped it off. I'm going to eat the item and NEVER shop there again. I suggest you look elsewhere as well.
Buy your appliances anywhere else!. There is no customer service, and I even went to the showroom! I had to make sure my plates would fit in the dishwasher, since they are a deep design. I bought a KitchenAid dishwasher, had problems with the delivery, but the real story is what happened after delivery. My total kitchen renovation was delayed, so I didn't open the box, thought I was keeping it safe. Little did I know, the dishwasher was damaged so badly it's totaled. AJ Madison said that I waited too long for a claim, I have to make a claim on the warranty. Kitchenaid says they are going to ship parts and have a serviceman repair the dishwasher. The broken parts include the drum, complete door assembly, wheels, even some parts inside. So, instead of a top of the line brand new dishwasher, I will have a rebuilt/ refurbished model. Still waiting for word from Amex. AJ Madison said their website clearly states how long you have to make a claim. I reminded them that I didn't purchase through the website, I paid in person in the showroom. They didn't care. I urge you, go anywhere else!
The Worst Customer Service!. Customer Service isn't even the right name for what you get at AJ Madison. There is NO customer service! I would advise anyone not to purchase from AJ Madison. I returned a very expensive faucet, still in the box. I purchased a replacement faucet that was just as expensive. I was hit with a huge restocking fee and had to fight to get my money back. They kept saying the credit had been issued but it wasn't. I finally had to go to American Express to get my money back. Then they didn't issue the full credit, adding on shipping for my initial purchase even though it was free shipping. I again had to go to American Express to get my money. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with.

"Very Unhappy with AJ Madison. I just bought a $2500 Miele coffee maker. When it arrived, I unwrapped it and plugged it in. There was no power to the machine. I immediately called customer service and they referred me to the manufacture to get it repaired. SERIOUSLY!! I don't want a brand new defective machine. I would like what I purchased.-A brand new working unit. They will not let me return it. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they won't even transfer me. What kind of customer service is that? The website states the following:

Highly recommend AJ Madison. I bought an LG refrigerator LFX31925ST and a Maytag washer/dryer MGDE301YW / MHWE301YW. Absolutely very best price anywhere. Delivered as promised to Las Vegas within a week. No sales tax. No shipping charges. I almost didn't order from AJ Madison because of many of the negative review. THAT would have been a mistake.
RUN AWAY. THE WORST.
These people are crooks. The will say and do anything to take your money and if anything goes wrong they will say, do, or just put you on hold for hours to worm out of it. They 100 pct lack integrity. I dont even think they know what integrity is.
Really, save yourself the aggravation. Go anywhere else.

AJ MADISON IS A HUGE JOKE. I wish I too had the 0 star option. AJ Madison has been such a waste of my time. I ordered a Marvel wine cooler and noticed that it looked like the box had been dropped on one of the corners. After inspecting the unit we noticed that indeed it had sustained heavy damage. We called cust. service who stated that they wanted to do a 10% discount. I said no as I wanted a replacement because the unit was "heavily damaged". Well she said that the manager was going to let me know. This has been going on for a couple of days now and everytime I call its the same thing "the manager is working on an option for you". I DONT WANT AN OPTION, REPLACE THE STUPID THING! I will be calling my Mastercard today to have my payment refunded and have them deal with these idiots.
Horrible Service, Horrible Delivery, Damaged Product.
If you're attracted to the low prices and convenience of a company like AJ Madison, then you'll probably fall into the same trap that we did.
We purchased a refrigerator from them for our business three and a half weeks ago and it was just delivered today. When at first they attempted delivery a week ago, they left a message on our company phone line at 6:15am saying that they would be delivering in 20 minutes. Now, I'm not sure about you, but we aren't at the office at 6:30 in the morning... and we plainly stated what our business hours were at the time of purchase. Despite this little detail, they took it upon themselves to claim that "we weren't available when they attempted delivery", then proceeded to drive back down to Southern California with our product still on their truck.
After several phone calls to rude customer service reps, we determined that we wouldn't get another chance at our long awaited refrigerator until the following week. When the time came, their inconceivably rude drivers attempted another 6:30 am delivery, then got angry that we wouldn't be available. They then told us that they would deliver at 10am... and didn't get here until 3pm.
A couple of thug looking rejects hopped out of a rental Penske truck. They dropped our dirty and severely under-padded refrigerator off and left before the dust could settle. We were crossing our fingers that there wasn't any damage, but no such luck. This package had been bounced around in the back of the delivery truck more than a ball in a pinball machine... and unfortunately, the shelving inside of the fridge was all jarred loose from the flimsy tape meant to hold it down. Everything was so shaken that we couldn't get the door open initially. One shelf is broken, another one is cracked, there are scrapes on the outside of the fridge, gouges on the inside, the wheels are damaged, and the stabilizing foot bent so that it's unusable.
The downside is that we probably won't even attempt to get any response from AJ Madison... not after all of the bad reviews we've read about it being so pointless.
Great experience!. We ordered a refrigerator from AJ Madison and then read the reviews of the company. Needless to say we were extremely worried. I thought about cancelling the order and just ordering from somewhere else. My husband convinced me to stick it out and give them the benefit of the doubt. Well we did and they delivered. We received the correct refrigerator in less than two weeks. It works wonderfully. We are very pleased!
