“Great staff, nice decorations, awesome juke box, the drinks aren't bad either.”
“quaint, warm space to feel like you could be doing something no one else knows about, but it's already too late for that when you realize how quickly the bar begins to fill up as the night progresses.”
“The ancient fixtures are authentic, not just bought up at a Salvation Army for hipsters to gawk at.”
“The barmen look great and classy but the place has a rough and tumble vibe.”
“The garden and pool table are natural allures but the warm lighting and friendly staff will bring me in any day”
“Decent jukebox (mostly jazz) and good prices for drinks.”
A true local. Brooklyn Social is a true local. This recently renovated historic landmark has been revived as a labor of love and you can feel it. Your drink may be poured by the owner and the jukebox has a custom CD selection of favorites from a regular. This place is a fabulous mix of Frank Sinatra swank meets cold beer in the back yard. I will make a pilgrimage back from London for a drink at this sweet spot again.
Good old-school pub. The ancient fixtures are authentic, not just bought up at a Salvation Army for hipsters to gawk at. Don't know anything about the history of this place, but it is the most unpretentious and real bar in Carroll Gardens. Generally a mixed crowd of young and old locals. Decent jukebox (mostly jazz) and good prices for drinks.
