In Short
This spacious bar has all the neighborhood-hangout amenities (pool table, darts, 12 beers on tap) with tasteful touches that make it extra-inviting. Owner Ari Zablozki brought in the mahogany bar from upstate and signed on lighting designer and pal Sean Gulette (the actor from "Pi") to set off the room with subtle, half-lampshade sconces and study-like table fixtures. Zablozki, who shares an easy rapport with his customers, also comes through with low drink prices.

I've been haunting Zablozki's since about 2004. One thing you can count on is decent prices on the brews. The usual suspects on tap: Stella, Yuengling, Brooklyn Larger, etc. And if you're on a starving artist's budget, you can get the trusty old PBR can for about $2. There's always good music playing, friendly barstaff, free wifi, and usually a friendly dog walking around greeting the patrons. There's a pool table in back, and a garage-like glass door that opens in warmer weather so you can people watch. It does get a little crowded on the weekends, but so does all of N 6th St., so beware, you're not going to get a seat or get served as quickly as you would on say, Tuesday night.

When discussing this bar with the Zagat club reviewers, they said, Oh yes, the library themed bar. It's more like a grander version of the best dive bar you've been to. The 3$ yuengling and McSorleys are always on tap, the pints are all imperial sized, and they have the most awesome staff of bartenders to be found in the city. And a totally awesome jukebox. Go there anytime you leave the house. PROS: Cheap Beer, Awesome space CONS: you'll go back all the time.

This is the best new bar in Williamsburg. You actually feel like you are in a real bar, as opposed to a hipster convention. Excellent looking room, plenty of space even when it is crowded and great drink prices. If you're from the neighborhood, you've been there already, if not, get on the subway and go.
